I wonder if i should order tempered glass for iPad mini, for using with this tab, as the dimensions seem to be the same!!!

Same here thought ordered both redmi 2 and Mi pad in single buy but went oss but any way will buy it later

But Mi launched Mi TV 2 @$322 with 40inch full HD display ...
Now wish in eBay it will sale around 30-35k so I can buy asap ...

The screen is better than the FHD nexus 7.

Build quality is alright. The glossy plastic isnt the best material. One thing I noticed is, the tray for micro sd card is mushy, doesnt come out easily, had to struggle to pull it out with my nails (it doesnt pop out with the pin).

Also, the software seems under developed though ( settings has crashed twice already with no apps installed).

Is it good for watching movies keeping in mind that the screen ratio is 4:3 and how will sd content look on it?
 
Any chance you can test the USB OTG capability? What size hard drive can be used without using an external power source?

I agree.. Screen is awesome.

And miui 6 was crappy. I rooted and installed cm11 right away, running stable with good graphics performance!!

Ipad mini screen guard fits perfectly on the Mi Pad, for anyone who was wondering. :)

The home button cut out also is perfectly around the home button of the mi pad! :-P

Yes i got a ipad mini tempered glass and a ipad mini case for mipad.

tempered glass fits beautifully, and case is a bit tight as mipad is thicker, but works. Get the book type cases if anyone is interested!!
 
can anyone tell me if it is good for movies and how does sd and 720p videos look on it, it will be really helpful :)
