Friends as we all known that the Mentioned converter is a great software to convert videos , but since reinstalled w7 ultimate it's not utilizing all core that my cpu have which makes it take more time the normal :(
it only utilize 16 - 17.69 % of my cpu :(

AND first it use to use like 80 - 100 %

and the convertion was faster :(

TRIED TO TWEAK THE SETTINGS IN " PREFERENCES " BUT NO USE .

Are their any free converters with ATI gpu acceleration? AVIVO sucks

Use Any Video Converter

or

Freemake Video Converter

1. they are free

2. they are good
Freemake looks good , did not like Any Video

Sorry is this thread about what you guys use to encode your videos? No Right! So stop posting what you use for converting instead of helping the OP!

If you have even used Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate, You'll know that its the Best one out there.

@OP
1} On mine I see the 4 CPU's marked in this image. How many do you see there?

2} Check your Task Manager, Performance Tab.

On Both these places you should see 6 cores, If you don't you'll have to change some settings in MSconfig>Boot>Advanced Options>Number of Processors

Xilisoft is worst video convertor.

Try handbrake,xmediarecode,Super

You will find CPU usage priority in some of these as normal/above normal.

Handbrake is damn fast.
