Xolo has launched a Nvidia Tegra based tablet in its Play series dubbed Xolo Play Tab which features Tegra 3 chipset.
Recently Nvidia announced that Xolo will be launchings its Tegra Note reference design based tablet in India. However, this is not the Tegra Note based tab ( which is powered by Tegra 4 chipset ) and it is expected to be announced soon around Rs 16000.
The Play Tab has similar specs as the Xolo Play smartphone including a Tegra 3 quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A9 CPU and 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with microSD slot. It comes with a 7 inch HD IPS Display (1280 x800 resolution ).
It includes a front facing 2MP camera, there is no rear camera. It doesnt include voice calling or 3G and supports only Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It is powered by 4000mAh battery.
The Play Tab is priced at Rs 12999 , which seems to be pretty high considering same Tegra 3 chipset powered Google Nexus 7 can be had for Rs 9999 in India now.
