I) its tied to a provider (and not available here)
It's called unlocking.
If you think what's the point of unlocking, well... it's a tech community here and this is exactly the kind of stuff we love to do.
II) can you change the battery?
The most used anti-iPhone quote ever !! But frankly, realistically... how ofter do you change the batteries on cellphone? In my 5 years of cellphone usage and 6 different models, I never got battery problems before changing the cell.
Offcourse it's good to have an option to change it, I won't deny. But I personally feel that it's overhyped, overburned point.
iii) Does it have any technology that is new in it or does it just carry recycled tech (in which case it doesnt even do that, no?)
Multitouch... never seen in any cellphone before, or even notebooks.
But I do agree that it doesn't have any groundbreaking technology or something entirely revolutionary tech invented in it. But what it does, is that it take available technology and incorporate it in innovative ways. Never seen a cellphone making use of Accelerometer or Proximity sensor in such practical ways.
It's alright not to like iPhone, to some people it's not very practical device to use. Everyone has their own needs and their solution, so their opinions (
I love iPhone, but right now I don't NEED one. my iPod for music needs and Z6 for my phone needs, are just fine).
Not trying to start an argument here, but sometimes I get this feeling that some people will hate it just for a fashion. "
Hey, everyone loves iPhone... but I hate it cause it's cool to be different." Meh... for the heck of it.
For the record, I've always been SE fan my cellphone needs. Just recently I bought moto phone, cause I can't see a phone from SE that matches the enigma of T610i or K750i. The way those phones were amazing for their times, when they launched. I think Xperia might be that next step... might be !!
