Laptops xps1530 battery cover?

i hav an xps1530 and since i dont use the battery (use home ups) i was planning to use the laptop without the battery.
since no cover came with latop i called dell guys to see if i could get a cover but was told they dont have any such cover.
does anyone know where to get such a cover or how to use latop withot battery so tht dust doesent go into battery compartment.

Well, you could still keep the original battery in its compartment and scotch tape the connectors so that they don't make any electrical contact. Amounts to the same thing as replacing it with a cover methinks...Btw, I own a M1530 too.:ohyeah:
