Audio Xtreamer HDMI out to other device with HDMI input

Dear All,

I have Xtreamer HD media player that claims to output dolby audio through HDMI / Optical.

I have a Sony Home Theater System with only HDMI ouput and Component input.

I want to listen to the dolby content. Please let me know what are the different alternatives with which this would be possible.

My Budget is around 10K.

I tried to search on internet but got confusing results.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to listen to Dolby D/DTS encoded movies using your current setup. Your HT receiver must have an optical input so you can connect the Xtreamer using an optical cable. Or you should have an AVR which can decode the signals through HDMI (passthrough).

Right now, you can only output stereo output audio signals from the Xtreamer to the HT system which will emulate the 5.1 output.
