Saw this reported on couple of big media sites.
Know about Y2K. but whats this ?

 messages to be stuck in transport queues of on-premises Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019.
 
It's mostly for those using On-Prem boxes running Exchange 2019 or 2016.

Essentially on 1st Jan, your mail transport queue held up due to the AV/Malware engine being unable to perform checks on definitions/dates.

Those using EXO are not impacted.

We have resolved the issue causing messages to be stuck in transport queues of on-premises Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019.

On-Premise servers* A lot of organizations still have/prefers this over Exchange Online (EXO). It is this lot who were impacted on Jan 1st when mail routing stopped out of the blue.

The issue is fixed by Microsoft now.

The issue does not impact any other subscription like OneDrive. AFAIK, they have underpinnings of Sharepoint and not exchange dependent (both enterprise and individual users).
