Yahoo mail issue

Guys, I am facing a strange issue since yesterday with my yahoo.com email ID.

As you all know its got pathetic spam prevention even after I meticulously flag each of spam email. However since yesterday, all my emails from around last 15 days are automatically moved to spam folder! I have absolutely no clue how it happened! Moving them back to inbox from spam folder is a tedious task as it has a lot of spam emails mixed as well. Add to that I am currently not having yahoo mail access from a desktop, only mobile and the mobile site is giving errors every few minutes.

What could be wrong? Anyone else faced this issue?
 
If using Android phone have you installed the Yahoo email app and tried using it to access your mails?
 
Yes, I am using the android app. The emails are in spam folder, if I mark them as not spam, they get moved to inbox, but not always.

Funny thing is even my sent items have moved to spam! Ridiculous!
 
1) Move all mails to inbox.
2) link that account to a new gmail account via pop3 and import all mails... let gmail sort the spam for you :)[DOUBLEPOST=1371804849][/DOUBLEPOST]Try checking through web interface / desktop browser first and confirm if really all mails are moved to spam.... it could be a buggy app also you never know...
 
Guys, finally I got on a desktop. The problem is much bigger than I estimated!

I could find some of my emails from my inbox in the spam folder which I moved back to inbox.

BUT, many of my sent items are deleted, around 2 months of emails are completely gone. They are not even in deleted items or spam or trash. One of my folder which I used only for storing scanned documents, is empty! Man I am in a mess.

I wrote to yahoo support and they gave me some standard reply about how to mark spam and not-spam.

What should I do now??? This makes me think, is webmail safe at all? I am a yahoo user since 1996, but this is the first time I am facing such issue.a
 
Me too have had a couple of strange issues with my yahoo thrice in the last couple of months. Randomly some spam email was sent to all my contacts from my ID. The only thing i did was change my password and let that be.

This more or less looks like someone has compromised your account, or else some has really messed up with your android app of Ymail if you have saved the password by default for the login.
Its better to change your current password to a 8-15 character alpha-numeric, special char password. Also please uncheck all those options where they ask you to "always be signed in" or "save password by default".
 
Sorry for the delayed response guys.

Yes, I changed the password, that was the first thing I did. I also found an option for yahoo email, where they can restore your mailbox with their backups upto 7 days. I sent a request and walla, all my emails were restored though I lost the new 7 days emails. It seems its s frequent issue with yahoo as they have a dedicated form for it!!!
