Yahoo Pressured To Fire CEO Over False Degree Claim
Yahoo shareholders are pressuring it to fire its CEO Scott Thompson after being discovered that he had lied about his resume .
Daniel S. Loeb , chief of hedge fund Third Point, Yahoo's largest institutional shareholder , has demanded the company's board to fire the CEO Scott Thompson .
He has asked to dismiss Patti Hart as well , The director of hiring committee Monday.
It was discovered last that Thompson had claimed to have earned a computer science degree , but he had only an accounting degree from Stonehill College in Boston . This was revealed when he didn't have computer science degree during time of his attendance . Yahoo responded after this saying , it was an "inadvertent error "
There seems to have been an inaccuracy with the resume of Patti Hart as well , listing her as having a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics when instead she earned a degree in business administration with a specialty in marketing.
