hey everyone,
i m not able to send any attachments using my yahoomail acc. it shows this failure notice :
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
it shows this particular message after every mail with attachments. it is working fine without attachments.
any solutions??

Dear pal,

I think you have sent you mail along with the attachment to a gmail address.Unlike other mail accounts, gmail doesn't entertain neither sending nor receiving attachments in .exe/.rar and various other formats. This' strictly taken as a measure to help reduce spreading of viruses and other trojans which are self-executable upon delivery in the victim system.

So if ever you want to sent an attachment, just change the extension to any unknown format as for example .rar to .rarp/.monkey or anything you may want.Ask the addressed person to just change the extension to the original one after downloading.

Even if your problem isn't related with gmail, try the above mentioned step to success. To test whether the problem is owing to other person's mailbox being full, send the same mail with attchment to any of ur mail ids and see if it succeeds.

Hope that helps.

intruder.

are you sure your computer is virus free, yahoo would block all attachements which might contain a malicious script. try to scan ur attachements before sending.

also make sure you specify the correct path to your attachement & also try to send very small files, make a single word text file & try to send it.

i have recd the same msgs many times earlier....i think it happens when the inbox of the recepient is full and the mail is tried by Yahoo to be sent in intervals but it fails since the inbox may be full at that time in the future
