afaik 22" have the same native reso as the 20".. so.. basically, the pixel size on the 22 is gonna be slightly bigger.. i guess something like the e248wfp should do very nicely for you.

and yeah as long as you pay him, kmd will send and get back your stuff from rma

What's the point? AFAIK, smaller screen but same resolution as a larger screen is better right? As the same number of pixels are crammed into a smaller area.

If there is no visible difference in quality(based on the panels used), I might as well save some money.

The earlier 20" (2008, 2007) used what?

A 22" at 14-15k is better than this 8 bit TN panel? What panels do those 22"ers use?

The 22inchers uses the same 8bit TN panel Nikhil;

And the earlier 2007 used an 8bit S-IPS panel [which Udit has in his rig];

A better panel and hence u pay the price for it; Not worth it if u ccan shell out the same dough for the entry level 24incher and that ur eyes demand that level of color gamut n clarity; :no:

13k ?? I paid 13.4k for 234$ 8800GT (NCIXUS special deal) 4-5months ago. 11-11.5k is reasonable for 199$ card, get quota from KMD. Oh I forget to post discount code in that thread, 5$ saving.

For the rest apollyon's suggestion holds good enough; :)

And Sidhu's quote of 190$ ~ to 11k is a joke!!

Get a quote from KMD first, Sidhu; Or perhaps u're talking abt these prices after 2 months of launch!!

Damn sure sourcing the 4850 via the KMD route will fetch easily over a 13grand!! [BEsides it was $199 in that site u posted in the Hot Delas section IIRC]; ;)

All's settled well and Nikhil's been told what can be fetched for 60~65k; ;)

And sidhu, look at the USD inflation re as stalkre just posted!!! Get a quote first; Moreover that link odesn't work anymore!!! Double check!!! ;)

Yeah.... I think I'll go for the E7200 and save some cash.

E7200+IX38 QuadGT + Corsair HX620 + CM690 + Dell 2009.

GPU -- No idea. Will wait for sometime.

RAM is 2 GB of Gskill GBQP. or GBPQ or whatever :P

I dont think I need 4 GB rightaway. 2 GB should be enough even for Vista!

GBPQ!! :P

Yeah have 2GB now and upgarde later to 4GB; :)

Now go learn NDT; :bleh:

Why not a Q9550? That E7200 will bottleneck your GPU few months down the line and your most certainly not going to upgrade for another 3 years at least!

Will he be utilizing the extra 2 cores??

That should be the ideal question;

And WTH!! The E7200 bottlenecking the 48xx series??? I dont quite get that Anish!!! :S

The E7200 [can be flawlessly] OC'ed to 4G [irrespective of the batch] with a decent aftermarket cooler and it performs good in gamees as good as an E8400 OC'd to 4G!!!

And a proper OC of the Q9550 is yet to be revealed; The much speculated Q9450 hit the walls at 3.6G with an air cooler like TRUE with 1.4v+; SO not a very ideal choice besides budget is very limited as we'd a chat over IM; :)

I checked out some prices on newegg and the Q 9550 was not all that expensive. About 250$ or so. Problem is, in India, it will not be less than 15k and I dont think it's worth so much.

I dont multitask much. I can live with 2 cores.

I prefer having 2 super fast cores than 4 fast cores.

If there is any major advantage in getting the Q9450 or 9550, I might think about it.

As I said, I am getting reintroduced into the hardware world. So, please enlighten me!! :D

U've enlightened urself!!! :D

am i missing something?
