Lol, Sapphire and Powercolor has 3 yrs not 2; :P

And either way, lifetime warranty is just another marketing gimmick; :)

Bikey has summed it pretty well; :D

And Supra was telling me today morn that the Biostar TP45IP doesn't do too good in ther performance front apart from the higher FSBs; Apparently the higher FSBs're due to the VTT and the VMCH tied to each other hence cannot be altered separately;

Hence my vote goes for Asus P5Q series for the P45 boards;

Well... Dont blabber until you have checked the facts yourself...

Sapphire Technology - warranty

I have a dead sapphire card with me after 2 yrs warrenty just got over...

Also warrenty makes a "Big Difference" according to me... EVGA and BFG are the highest selling nVidia board partners... Why cause they offer and honour thier lifetime warrenties... Thats why you see people in US sticking to these brands... ATI does not have good board partners offering such warrenties except for Visiontek... Thats why my interest in the brand...

^^Pl hold on until I get the confirmation from Freaky; :P

My Powercolor 4850s have 3 yrs warranty and the Sapphire has 3 IIRC;

My powercolor have 2 yrs warranty only btw. Maybe only now they have increased it to 3 yrs. Palit and Gecube giving 3 yrs warranty though, checked rahul varma's deal thread.

Which mobo?

IX38 Quad GT or Asus P5Q-E?

Asus one is newer P45 mobo. IX38 has some nice features like on/off button on mobo itself.

Also, I will be using my Audigy 2 ZS. So, I need a PCI slot.

EDIT: Just saw, the P5Q-E has two PCI slots. I dont know why but I thought it has only PCIe slots :P

lol.....check out the review by Funky na. P5Q Dlx & P5Q-E are dead similar except 16-phase power on dlx, and Express Gate SSD. The diff in price is arnd 1.5k or so :)

XMS2. dont know model number. Chaos was telling me any Corsair 800mhz will reach 1000.

Will the extra 2 GB really make a difference in games?

^^ If u intend to have Vista , 4GB is recommended with games

As of reaching 1000 Mhz , if u take the proper Transcends with Powerchips , and Brainpower PCB, it can easily do arnd 1000Mhz .

The Corsair 800 Mhz XMS2 will at least be 50% or even more costlier than the Transcends :P
