Oh, at least you got in 20 days :)

Would you like to give more details like when you bought & price & why RMA?

How the process was etc.

it was about 3yrs back...so don't remember the details......why are you inclined to intel boards?

In budget with all features I'm looking for also hard to find same features with other boards in same or (+/- 100) difference. Also still using LONG lasting system (since 2004) from Intel.

wat are you lookin for?

Your or any others experience with Intel RMA policy. Will help me to decide with my new system build. At present looking for Intel because it's cheap option for me with all features I'm looking for. If After Sales Service is good than with Intel if not than Gigabyte.

3 yrs back my friend had a nightmarish experience with intel board rma. He had to send it to chennai and after a month it came back with no defect label. Again had to talk to them and send the board back and after a month new board arrived.

2 months and a lot of effort. It was a unique problem where the board made the pc shutdown or restart after 10 mins of boot.

good to hear that after 2 month hassle your friend get NEW ONE. But in 2002/2003 my 6 month old Mobo with 3 melted plastic capacitors they took 1 month & also send heavy repaird mark board with new I/O but no I/O face plate hence all mess & just refuse to send I/O plate & about motherboard they told that for 6 month old board we always send what available but REPAIRED board only & I sold the system with loss.

Aslo at that time Intel peopel blindly showing me Terms & Condition while I ask for I/O panel to match replaced board so at least can fit in cabinet but fail to get one.... :(

Though in 2004 again bought Intel & since till today it working like charm, but hence now days hard to TRUST any Hardware Dealer or his promise or Qualuty (made in china) it's better to be prepared for if requires RMA. So looking for good ASS brand :)

They are not overtly that bad, if you want the basic chipset functionality. :)

Yes, I looking for basic functions only as not in gaming nor in over clocking or graphics.

I purchased the DH67BL B3 board for myself abt 2 weeks back. Lil bit of info which the person mentioned to me was that the RMA center is now open @ Bhikaji Cama Place in del and so the RMA time is significantly less for del ppl.

On further inquiries, he said it should be like a week but i cannot promise that every time (now whether that was the escape route or genuine reply i dont know)

Board was for about 4800/- @ C2C, the cheapest in NP.

I had a pretty good RMA experience with Intel.
I had RMA'ed DG35EC board last year in May and got the replacement with in a week.
For RMA , I called intel bangaluru no. and generated the RMA no, then gave my board to Redington Mumbai and received the replacement in 6 days. The board I received looked new but can't say as they are cleaning the boards now a days before sending to customers.

Good to see now Intel not asked to send Boards to Banglore as in my case in 2002. Really decent price here in mumbai from 5k to 5.4k

Cleaning the board don't remove Scratched Marks, Soldering Marks etc. so I assume you had got New or at least Good Condition motherboard in replacement, you didn't mentioned how old the motherboard was when you sent it for RMA?

Thanks Guys :)

The sad part is that even Gigabyte do this... Some few months back when i had RMed my motherboard (H55M-S2H) they were giving me a board which had a lot of scratches on it... So i refused to take it coz the board that i RMA'ed was in better condition (Almost New) than the board they were offering.... After a lot of arguement with a service centre guy he gave me a boxed pack H55M-D2H...
