I have few games i can start,

Star wars outlaws
Black Myth Wukong
Void crew
Dragon age : Veilguard
FINAL FANTASY XVI

which should i start first, last two i completed were God of war Ragnarok & Frostpunk 2.

I had also bought stalker 2 but i returned it after 20mins of gameplay.

Started dragon age veilguard after playing for 45mins did not like the game mechanics specially compared to old dragon age games, applied for a refund.

Will be checking out star war outlaws and final fantasy tomorrow as I have only 3 days on steam return window.

Definitely refund Star Wars Outlaw as well, not worth it for now. Play it after a year if it gets fixed & better optimised. Not a matter of opinion here.

Among other 4, FFXVI & Vielguard would be my 1st & 2nd pick (didn't play them yet). No idea about Void Crew & I won't be playing Wukong myself anytime soon.

Your opinions might vary, so just play whatever you think you might enjoy.

If you want a real challenge, a game that will hold you by your noggin and dish out a furious workout for your fingers then pick up Black Myth: Wukong!

Final fantasy is a blast from start to end. Epic fights, gripping story and an ending to match it all. Performance can leave up wanting more sometimes though, but still, highly recommended.

So i played outlaws a bit, felt like playing assassin's creed with star wars characters walking around but in a good way :) decided to keep it. Will be doing in this order for now

1) black myth wukong
2) outlaws
3) final fantasy
4) void crew.

Games like AC Valhalla & FC6 starts strong, but gets boring after a few hours. I have not yet played Avatar & AC Mirage, but the only pro I heards for former is the good big open world & latter is overall considered a downgrade from Origins & Odyssey.

Mirage actually isn't a downgrade. Odyssey and Valhalla (ESPECIALLY Valhalla) were bloated to the point of being a complete PoS by the end. Couldn't even go 20% with both.

Mirage is a very traditional AC. Not the best AC, has many shortcomings, but much better than those two. I haven't played it (I plan to, now that it's on Steam), just based on what I've seen/read. I hope I'm right.

For someone who got tired of ubisoft games, are Origins / Odyssey worth playing ?
Ubisoft formula isn't necessarily bad for me, i loved rage 2 which was a bit far cry type.

But I even got bored at end of FC6 demo. I loved AC and esp AC2, but couldn't play AC2 expansions after gap. Also got bored of FC4, and now i don't bother because there are so many and reviews are middling at best.

Origins was the start of the RPG style of AC games. It's actually the best among the trio, and worth playing. Nowehere near as bloated.

Odyssey is Valhalla's kid, and Valhalla is the big honcho. A big, bloated turdfest. Avoid both.

Mirage is something you'd enjoy if you're into the classic AC games. It's on sale on Steam for 999.

I played Odyssey with all its DLCs, took 80hrs but didn't feel boring. Valhalla felt boring after some time but I didn't have anything better to play, so did complete its base game. When Mirage was 1.5k or so in EGS, I asked a friend of mine who bought & played Mirage if it is worth 1.5k, he said no. That's why I am not too interested in investing time in it. FC6 was also boring but I played it on coop, so was fun with friend at least.

I will say Origins & Odyssey are both great games, easily in top 3 AC games for me along with Black Flag. Black Flag & Origins are the only AC games which I played it twice.

Controversial take, but I will prefer AC Origins over Elden Ring any day. ER felt like a lot of missed potential on multiple aspects to me, which seemed very annoying to me considering how well they executed some parts of the game. I had my 2nd playthrough of Origins after completing ER.

Dunno about souls like for me. Had other games to play so never got to it.
But meanwhile all souls like demos that i have tried so far, i haven't finished. Its just too slow too tedious and too repetitive for me to enjoy.
I get it that people will learn through failure and get better, but i don't have any patience when its that slow. I'd rather play Doom eternal.
Loved Furi, but i guess that isn't souls like.

What about Unity and Syndicate - worth playing ? Ill add Black Flag to my todo list along with Origins/Odyssey but hard to say when ill get in mood for it.

--------------

Ori and blind forest is a very beautiful game. Looks jaw droppingly pretty in HDR ( via reshade + with slight saturation bump). Its crazy, its just a 2d game. Halfway through it or so.
Sequel has proper built in support for HDR. I looked at it a bit on youtube and its even better !

Yes, older AC games are worth it as well, includes AC3, Unity & Syndicate. But start playing older AC games first before playing Origins & Odyssey.
