Since Fallout 3 did not work on my PC, thanks to the looping sound problem that happens on my Asus Xonar DX with this game I have taken up Far Cry 2. This time I hope to finish Far Cry 2 :P

On a related note, I never completed Farcry 2; don't think I'll give it a shot now either. The dry, sunny African landscapes ruined the game for me and the repetitive gameplay spoiled it completely. I mean while passing through point A, we eliminate all those bad guys and complete the mission. While coming back those guys are respawned back at point A. How lame! :(

Yes, I have to agree with you on that one mate. Yesterday when I was crossing a section of the map to head to a primary mission location I had to go through a guard house, I had to go through it and kill the guards who attacked me on sight. But 5 minutes later after completing the mission when I headed back the same way... the guard house packed the same guards again! I was like WTH, didn't I just scout and clear this place!! Maybe back up re-inforcements? :@

Also, another part I have a gripe with is the bus-stop traveling system. Hell, some of the bus stops are so far away from the actual mission points! It practically nullifies the idea behind using the damn bus service at times. Hauling ass through dry African terrain to reach a mission location and also the lack of vehicles on maps (except for some guard houses which are pretty far in-between) is pretty annoying.

On a side note though, the missions are fun and the weapon sounds are awesome in this game :)

Finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution really satisfying, warm, fuzzy, cold, empty feeling in me. Next game to be mobilized will be Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad,
but first will play its single-player campaign with a SKID.ROW rip, and then buy it.

From scratch. Did all the primary missions and the underground missions for the Malaria pills, skipped most of the buddy missions, (the buddy missions were anyways an alternate path to complete the primary missions, hehe). Had almost 2 days off from work so put in a LOT of hours into this, yesterday slept really late!

Traveling in-between missions was massive in this game, the bus stops are so completely useless in the later levels as the mission locations are no way near the bus stops forcing you to walk or drive! Also, in the last level I lost my way in the forests more than a couple of times, but finally got it right. :)
