Graphic Cards Your GFX Card History

First time that I ever got a discrete GPU was in 2010. Only listing them. Always used the iGPU in prebuilts/laptops before that. Still remember playing Halo and NFS HP on 32MB of onboard graphics in an HCL prebuilt.

Integrated graphics for many many years.
1) Amd 6755G2 - 1st time used discrete gpu on a HP gaming laptop that i bought in 2012. Played Crysis immediately. Laptop got very hot after a year's use. I repasted and cleaned it but did not know about thermal pads and ended up burning the gpu. Laptop still worked, but now back to integrated gfx again. That laptop lasted almost a decade, probably still runs but too old.
2) Zoltac 1050 2gb mini - 2017, got from snapdeal with 20% discount for about 8k. Died 2022, just out of warranty. 2gb did not age well.
3) Zotac 3080 - 2022 - Got with about 10k discount from amazon last year. .

Nope. I have never heard of MadVR. Probably time to look into it. The GPU is just for the occasional gaming on my TV for games that I do not own on my PS4. Also, the processor does not have an iGPU. So I thought may as well get something that can do some gaming.

My first card was Radeon HD, possibly 3000 series. I remember one of the first games I played on it was Prince of Persia 2008, so my brother must have bought it in 2009. And the card cost ~7000, so it must have been at least a year old. So that's my closes approximation. I can't recall the model at all.

My second was a laptop with AMD Radeon 7670M.

Neither of these were really used for gaming. I played like 2-3 games on each.

Last year I got a RTX 3060. This is the first card I'm really using for proper gaming.

Nvidia 9400
Nvidia GeForce GT 520M
Nvidia 750Ti
Nvidia 1660 Super
Nvidia 2070 Super
Nvidia 1660Ti (Takes care of Transcoding duty)
Radeon RX 6800M (Current)

Some Pentium iGPU (My father had built the system)
Intel GM950 - had planned to upgrade to AMD 5450, but it turns out that motherboard didn't even have a PCIe slot
1st Laptop - nVidia 940M (paid 28k for the acer laptop, still works but battery and keyboard are borked)
Desktop - RX 570,
nvidia 3060 (bought it for ML but have not been able to focus :_) )
2nd (current) laptop - 12th Gen intel i3 iGPU

ATI x1950xt
GeForce 8800 GT
AMD HD5850
GTX 970
GTX 1080

There was point when I had AMD HD5850 and Nvidia 8800 GT running in the same PC with Physx Mod, because you couldn't run nvidia physx on amd cards, so 8800gt was taking care of it and HD5850 was running rest of the game. Great times.

heh check it out, its basically a video renderer used for accurate tonemapping from HDR/DoVI formats as well as general upscaling, denoising etc. its really heavy on the GPU (like on maxing everything out, it'll even take out a 3090) but worth it if you got a good TV/display that can actually take advantage of it.

Geforce GT 230
