iqara was a NIGHTMARE for me. easily the worst ISP i've ever used. i clocked a downtime of TWENTY SIX DAYS. finally, i had to go over to their office and bring their guy back to my house in my car (:S) before it was fixed. speeds were rather shitty. pings were bad and the worst thing about playing games online on iqara was the huge amount of packet loss.

with the re branding, they may have become much better but i'd personally stay away until i hear from someone from my area using it for a long time without too many complaints. the pricing is awesome but anything other than DSL in India is usually hit or miss.

got YOUTELE 1mbps for a month.. Speeds in afternoon are very bad .. around 150 - 250 kbits ... latnights speeds are decent on http downloads around 105-140 KB/S (keeps fluctuating) .. Getting decent speeds on torrents is a nightmare .. never goes about 10kbs. YOUTELE does torrent throtteling just like Comcast does in USA.

Gaming wise YOUTELE SUXS. 45loss in Counter Strike and TF2 with chokes. Moreover ping to any Website or server gives 20-40percent "request timed out"

When complaing about speeds to customer care.. reply i get is .. 1mbps speeds is only for surfing (BU!!$#yT) . and about loss .. no one has any idea

Trust me guys , i know what hell i am going through... NEVER GET YOU TELECOM.

Meh, I've been accessing my download rig (which's at Surat!) remotely from my hometown and things're going absolutely fine as I see it! It's been more than a fortnight since I'm into this ISP.

As someone hinted, it might be because I'm located very close to the ISP HQ that I'm getting these speeds without any downtime.

Youtele does not throttle torrent traffic.

They have terrible packet loss issues though, which is the real problem, with very high latency and lots of dropped packets, so the client can't receive enough incoming connections, and can't hold on to the good connections, only the ones with equally high latency.

Well i got that answer from YouTele Engineer. he said to me that YouTele doesn support torrents.. Maybe its 1mbps plan. Last night on Torrents i got max 15kb/s on my 1mbps UL.

LoL after seeing this thread I also called to Youtelecom service desk, After raising the request for a new connection, I got the call 5 days later. They told me that they 'll come tomorrow. but the next day i get a call again from youtelecom, and they asked my address again. i told my address, as soon as i told my colony name, I heard 3-4 people laughing and blabbering in background, they cut the call within 2-3 sec after that. Now I get a call again from the some youtele person, Now I blasted him that what is going in your office. This is how your company works??? he started giving excuse that his friends were their at that time.. Blah Blah.. I said F*** You. story ends.. :P

Darn it i didnt read this whole......i took the same plan...suffering on torrent speeds:(.

there are just too many hashfalls.
