Youtube video upload problem

Hi,

I've made a video by capturing screen. I've used Camstudio to do this. Its playback time is 3:50 . Its an avi file.

Now I uploaded that to youtube. Its size is 196 MB. After uploading, when I played that file, it looks like a shit. I can't read even the text which is in the video. The resolution of the video is 1440 x 900 .

Even in HD, I'm not able to read the text, so thats useless for me. So guys suggest me what to do. Should I try metacafe or some another video uploading site ? Whats wrong with youtube, why the quality degrades after uploading it to youtube ?
 
^^I too think so. I should have made that video either in 1920x1080 or 1280 x 720.

Next time I'll try making video in 1280 x 720 resolution.

I made a mistake making that video in 1440 x 900 resolution.
