Get latest Realplayer. It downloads and plays all youtube videos. When you visit a youtube video, realplayer shows an option to download to your pc.

It has always worked for me. I just save the file as .avi instead of .flv.

.FLV format is a headache to use. VLC gives problems at the start and KMPlayer messes with the aspect sometimes.

Thing is, audio files seem to lose quality when saved as .avi. So, for music videos, I still prefer .FLV. Is there a media player classic plugin for .FLV files?

u can use all kinds of plugins ...but dere is a simpler way......just use opera...increase ur cache size...watch the streaming flash video..just go to ur partition where opeara is installed...say j:\program files\opera 9\profile\cache4

now dere u`ll see .tmp files starting with "opr"..ost vids are abt 7-12 mb in size...just drag onto vlc or mplayer and enjoi...
