Does anyone else feel that its worse than the previous one. Its cleaner, yes - but i feel that the previous one was faster and much simpler to access.

Good thing is that they finally fixed the bug which sometimes made the video stop buffering/black out a particular video quality, when changing the video quality sometimes.
 
Am still on the previous version (android i presume is what you're referring to) because the guy who makes the modded version has yet to update his app.

Downloading from youtube with this app. Also allows to set resolution of playback like on the desktop whereas stock is either HD or not.

Somebody recommended it to me here some time back as i had some issues with the stock YT, it would not buffer enough. I found the downloading part to be reliable, the buffering never really improved.

Another problem i had was every time the screen timed out YT would lose what i had already buffered. An app called 'keep screen on' with YT selected seemed to fix with this stock.

It's nice!

But whenever I change the resolution of the video I try, it says the connection has been timed out.
Haven't tried downloading but looks like I can get rid of the TubeMate app now.
