A name like Zalman doesn't really need an introduction. The Zalman brand is well known around the world for their noiseless and excellent performing products. At Zalman, they strive to make that goal a closer reality through extensive research and development of their products. They were the world's first in reducing computer noise down to lower than 20dB, thus creating a more user-friendly computing environment.

Zalman introduced the ZM460-APS power supply around 2 months ago as an ultra quiet 460W power supply supporting Intel and AMD based systems. We have gotten the opportunity to shed some light on this new powerful but noiseless power supply which meets the latest ATX power standards. Zalman has on top of their older already very silent power supplies improved their noise prevention system by using an auto controlled cooling fan. So without holding you all up let's dig into the new Zalman ZM460-APS power supply.

Features

As already mentioned Zalman is know for their noiseless products and the new 460W power supply surely sticks to that. The goal of Zalman behind the ZM460-APS is delivering an ultra quiet PSU conform to the high standards of the power hungry needs of today's computer architecture. The main feature taking care of this goes by the abbreviation CNPS, which stands for Computer Noise Prevention System combined with an auto controlled cooling fan.

  • ATX Ver 2.03 / ATX12V Ver 2.01
  • Compatible with both 20-pin and 24-pin

i think antec phantom series is much better than this ..... without any fans it hardly makes and noise and that works on 85% efficency which is highest i think ...

gets hot as hell too.. the antec phantoms really need good case airflow.. not sure about this till i see the review

Rather have a cool PSU with a noisy but fast fan :bleh:.

FanLess fans are useless acc. to me, as they need to case airflow. Which adds sound anyways.
