A week or so ago Zenith advertised Core 2 Duo Laptops for approx 24K, without the OS loaded
I know they made Desktops before, but cant find any reviews on the Laptops.

The configs seem to match Acer/Compaq 35K range Laptops, but since Zenith is offering the same stuff for around 10K less,
I wanna know if any one can provide reviews about the quality of this stuff

Looking for the same kinda feed back about these Zenith laptops- they seem to have a dual core Director laptop for 26k.!!

Add Taxes, octroi, VAT, Blah, Blah, Blah and yeah Zenith laptops are good for weight Lifting lol....... I guess it should come between 30-35k....

If 26k Is including everything i too want some feedback & specs...........

From what I had read, the build quality of Zenith laptops is not very good! Not too sure about performance etc.

everything is fine but do check abt bettery i read on details spec it was 4 cell battery and second major factor is quality of product so thats the 2 main reason else u can make out whats good

This is 29K from a dealer, and the ads in Times Of India last week said they were 26 K, maybe lower at Lamington. I say its not a bad config at that price.

Just wanna know the quality/service from someone who has used Zenith products

Hello Guys, I have been using a Zenith Laptop(company Provided) for the last few months and let me tell you guys, it is the worst laptop I have ever used in my life by a far margin.

It is extremely slow, heats up a lot, has already crashed twice, cant run a song or video, just restarts . all in all extremely bad experience.

Stay away from it.

Intel Pentium DUAL CORE Processor

Kevin, it's a Dual core (a Yonah with 1 MB cache) and not a C2D (Merom)

If you scout arnd, you can get Compaqs and Acers with a Dual core for that price

It may be possible that Zenith build quality may be equal or better than Compaqs or Acers but why take a chance ?

FTI, one of my friends has bought a Zenith Laptop (Director model). The LCD is full of dead pixels (I counted at least 25 of them, there may be more), the graphics subsystem is pathetic (ATI X200), bundled memory is 512 MB only, and if u want to upgrade it urself, u will void the warranty. The HDD (100GB) is not upgradable, no bluetooth, no WiFi, if u ran a movie, u cant hear the dialogs properly even at the max volume of the speakers, two of the three USBs are located at the rear side, and operating them is a pain. And yes, its heavy like hell and if u place it on ur lap, u will burn ur pants :D

Thanks Guys.........even the reviews that have started to show up on may sites give Zeniths a bad rating.

Yes they get Hot,Restart,Crash and have dead pixels..........Everyone is saying this

Am gonna go to Lamington Road next weekend and see if I can get my hands on a few cheap 25-30K budget Compaq or Acer models.

Any suggestions for shop names or models?
