Zotac 8800GT

Good, but still aint worth it, I w'd say get 2 9600GT's @ 238$ (119$ each). In SLi 9600's will laugh @ 3870X2 and 8800 Ultra, very close to HD 4870 and GTX 260. All in approx 14k. :P
 
lol....Nvidia seems to be decreasing their profits now which they have incurred over the time due to lack of competition.

have u used sli 9600gt? an 8800gtx is better than 9600gt sli anyday. 3dmark wise frames will be higher....but actual gameplay with sli 9600gt will be less smoother than an 8800gtx and the difference is noticeable...forget high res

it might come close to a 3870 x2 but the x2 will be better both gameplay/performance wise anyday. a 3870 is better than a 9600gt; its not same perf.
 
anandtech review...even that link shows 3870 is bettter... i am not looking at it again....see other reviews ..even tweaktown says 3870 is better, atleast than the 9600gt for sure. I used both 3870 and 8800gt....3870 better than 9600gt + it is more iq too

9600gt sli scales like 8800gt sli...there is littel difference in scaling as the 9600gt gets ahead in it but by a neglible margin ..so 8800gt sli still lot better than 9600 gt sli...

plus have u seen the 10% improvement brought over by 8.5 on 3870?...

U just wanna say SINGLE GPU is better than DUAL GPU solution, No1 is forcing U to buy these. I also advocate buying single 4870 @ 300$, But dont U agree 9600GT is better VFM @ 119$.

Who cares abt GTX, G92 GTS/GTX beats it, now dont start 384bit memory bus @ 1920 blah blah. Ultra is still faster, thats no doubt.

and IQ, Banik has used both G92 and 3870, no noticiable differance observed.

NvidiaIQ vs ATI IQ

On one hand we have ATI with a superior level of detail; on the other we have Nvidia with much more intense and realistic colour, not only on skin but many areas of scenery too.

We were quite surprised with the results of Nvidia's colour/tone enhancements also; these features have the ability to greatly increase the detail levels but most of the time this comes at a cost with other areas of the screen becoming overpowering and unnatural.

Image quality is much closer between the two due to both having good and bad points. Clearly with some time and patience it would be possible to work out the best settings for each card, but we should be much closer to perfection at default settings than we are. In reality, the best image is probably somewhere in between the two produced. If we had to choose one as our preference, overall it would probably be Nvidia as much of the detail issues could be fixed by an increase in brightness rather than significant work to get skin tone correct on ATI.

K, even if 3870 is better, it costs 20$ more also.
 
I guess instead of wating money and energy in buying 9600GT in SLI or such config, which litterally means wasting more power , which means u need to hx 620 as a minimum good requirement, however that money can be utilised to purchase 4870 which costs 19.5k+ cat@4% from predatorvj. So why to hook yourself up for 9600GT from KMD@ 14k with KMD warranty + spend 6-6.5k in hx620 rather you can a pov500/cm600 ext/ cors vx450 which will cost you just 2.6k/3.1k/3.6k respectively and use 3k + less power bill + less system temps and utilize 3k + 4k for a good powerfull gddr5 red beast. Think again guyz.
 
i too used g92, rv670 and i used multiple of them not just one.....and i am prone to detect even minor IQ changes...ati signal itself was better a lot at lower resolutions. Iq difference was way major - i am not tryin to argue w/ u. it is a fact. ask anyone who has both a g92 and rv670 now to compare and is a sensible person. u d have known it only if u had used one....

wait for my 4850 review. i will compare both ati/nvidia IQ. :)

+IQ wise, look at crysis and u will see the IQ difference very clear, well not if u don't own a crampy 15" crt...on that u won't see any. a 15" lcd might show it up though.

U seem to be an exhaustive reviewer but do u do that for some secret organisation ?? :S

Personally I haven't seen any although I see u changing GPUs; :S
 
^ are u working computer-chip or digit or some company for test many gpu card :P why are u getting lot of gpu card same g92 and g80 :S
