Graphic Cards ZOTAC launches GeForce® GTX 660 ti in India

EVGA Super clocked version for 23500/-. Comes with international warranty. Why zotac then

Sending it back to the US OR Europe if something screws up is not everybody's cup of tea.

And that card is coming from the US, wait till the receiving Customs boys bag it and release it with a challan.

The price is inclusive of all customs and other duties. Its the door step delivery price.

And sending it back matters only when it goes dead, which 99.9% of the times won't. On top of that EVGA provides international warranty which can work in India as well. Probably won't be as straight forward though but works for sure.

Do you know their retail-channel partners in India? I do not, so don't know how they will provide local support.

Apart from that I do know that the return shipment is paid by them in full (inclusive customs as the package is marked so) but sending it to the US / Europe in itself is an inconvenience to most people.

MSi took ~2 -->2[SUP]1[/SUP]/[SUB]2[/SUB] weeks to replace my HD5770 in Bangalore (it went to Goa for further trouble-shooting / tests), I do not want to imagine the turn-around time in the above process and what if the replacement piece you get is screwed whilst delivery.

^^^
If the piece is screwed during delivery, ebay will take care of it.

Sending a card back to US would cost less than a 1000 grands via EMS and the return shipping is anyway free and they'll send it back via fedex. That when you choose to return the card to US. About Indian support, I think its aditya infotech that takes care of EVGA.

And I forgot mentioning that you can use ebay coupons to get the price further down.

Tirupathi Enterprises takes care of EVGA Warranty in india.

One should confirm with them before buying a EVGA cards from US/UK/abroad.

can any1 find out if evga will honour warranty? if not will shopabroad guys do it.. since the cart2 acc on ebay is theirs only? cuz u dont get the u.s bill in ur hand anyway, so i wonder how this works?

Same here !! If it was so easy,Indian market would've been flooded with Imported EVGA 670/680 cards @ much cheaper price but it's NOT.

I've claimed warranty on my OCZ RAM sticks. Total cost for sending it back was 170/- and I got it back the fourth day after it reached them. Its not as tough. Just that people think that its too much to handle.

Corsair / ZION (local brand) RAM modules get replaced over-the-counter if you can provide the invoice to the shop you bought them from. If they are legacy / uncommon variants and you give them to the local Kaizen guys then again it is replaced with ~2 -->3 days.

Noctua sent me an adapter-kit for my NH-U12P SE2 free of charge from Austria (AIR MAIL) but their website explicitly states so as long as benefactor provides the address and corresponding proof of purchase of a certain Noctua component / product; Noctua will directly address any problems in the 6 year Warranty period. The retail channel partners are for speedy replacement of a bad piece received by Noctua (owner responsible for shipping).

Yes I may be mistaking it and making a huge issue out of the same but better to be careful than go ahead with half-baked information. And Tirupati Enterprises has not impressed me, wanted to buy a Thermalright cooler which was listed on their site, contacted them for the same and they did not have it (blaming it to be a slow-moving item). Seasonic after sales is also handled by them and again if you are not in proximity to Bombay, Bangalore you will have a tough time.

understood my point was.. ive bought from ebay.in ... i have a ebay invoice, shopabroad will buy it right? they will have the original u.s invoice. .. what if a manufacturer refuses to give me rma cuz of my ebay bill saying its not valid. ... if someone had someone travelling to the u.s and wanted to do a rma while they were there... even then the ebay bill wont be valid...

even ive rma'd patriot ssds before it was hassle free shipped to me free from taiwan from a newegg bill. ... im just wondering how will you rma a product you dont have the original invoice of.

@toxicdrift I have never dealt with eBay. So no comments, maybe fellow members on this thread will be able to address you convincingly.

You can't save money on Customs unless the Retail box package is ripped off in US before shipping. Still i'm not sure if it'll help you save custom fees.

If customs dept charge a nominal fee, then nothing could stop us buying from abroad.

lol it will be difficult unless we do a bang for the buck card in 20k with a local dealer. (it should be within reach of everyone) dont know how many will spend 20k on a card right now.maybe a 15k card. i miss kmd at times like these!!

You're preaching to the choir, bro. One of the 4850s i have was sourced from him. It did go for replacement for a few months but at the price at which i got it, i won't complain much.
Suprisingly, GW2 isn't taxing my system as much as i had hoped. I'm finding it hard to justify a gpu upgrade at the current rates. How i wish we were pampered like the american consumers instead of being treated like shit.
