I got 1%.
Paid amount on apollo pharmacy via amazon pay wallet (arrived at amazon.in payment page, paid by entering card details)
Got sms confirmation that amount added to amazon pay and amount deducted from Amazon wallet.
Are there any specific merchants on which we get 2% or any specific way I do payment?

Partners for 2% cashback on credit card payment are mentioned on the website, rest will be 1%. However, getting 5% cashback on the SBI card for all gift vouchers on Amazon and Flipkart easily pays back the annual fees. Still retaining the Axis Ace card for 2% offline cashback but otherwise now use Amazon Pay rather than GPay for all bill payments using Amazon Pay balance at 5% cashback, since Axis has cut a lot of categories recently.

List of merchants with 2% cashback is normally listed under the credit card section of AmazonPay.

Also, the SBI card referred to is called as the SBI Cashback card. Apart from bill payments, wallet loads, you get 5% back on any online merchant site. For bill payments, using Amazon vouchers provides 5% cashback. However, they are reducing the benefits gradually, from 10k per month, cashback has reduced to 5k and the list of exempted MCC keeps increasing. Also, first year was free but that is not the case now.

It will increase

The launch of the card was to acquire cashback customers which ICICI and Axis have

Which categories?
Electricity, mobile recharges, gas bill still get 5% cashback with Gpay using axis Ace right?
Also for lic premium i tried paying through cred and i think i got 2% cashback with Ace though technically they stopped providing cashback for insurance payments.

Yep, I received 0 cashback for insurance payment in March through GPay and payment through portal was already providing 0 cashback. Property tax gave 4% early in the year but not sure if it still gives so.

5% on SBI Cashback card through AmazonPay is at least guaranteed until SBI stops providing cashback on Amazon vouchers. It equates to more when vouchers are discountdr, like in case of Zomato where it is 9% + 5%.

Is it Amazon pay cashback or credit card?
Do you think Airtel axis is better than Ace card, only for bill payments? I was thinking of getting that and closing Ace.
Also any suggestions for fuel spends?

All are credit cards but they have categories like
Cashback (Direct Statement Credit and Third party collab)
Points (First Party and Third Party)

Just got a message from Axis bank. They've revised the base cashback on FK Axis credit card to 1% from 1.5%. Preferred merchants remain unchanged for now.

Some changes to lounge access as well.

Ya they messed up ACE too, it was 2% for all transactions but now it's 1.5%. Previously they capped utilities bill payments cashback to 500rs per month from unlimited. At this point they should make it a free card without any annual charges, no point paying 500rs for this card.

Which card would you guys recommend for someone visiting the UK/Scotland for three weeks, as a one time vacation? Would it make sense to get a new card for this purpose, or is it okay to use an existing ICICI Platinum credit card? Would you recommend getting a forex card, and if so, any specific recommendations? Maximum expenditure/transactions would be around 900-1000 GBP.
