Need a Nokia/ SE phone under 5~6k for my GF:)

requirements:
* Battery Backup with lots of talk time (10+ hrs preffered, not just on paper- user experience will give better idea)
* good cam. Performance similar to my K790i will do.
* Good SQ. And a 3.5mm jack will be welcome so that she can plug in the Mee M9 to it:)
* Cute look. Not very strict on it. An above avg looks will do.
* Large screen. Min of 2.2"

Please sugest
The phones that I have in mind are:

SE Cedar: 6.2k
SE Naite: 6.4k
N 5233: 6k
N X2: 5.7k

I was almost blown away by the feature set of X2. 5MP cam, ~14h talktime, bundled 2GB card, only 81g, slim and stylish looks, media buttons, bundled IEMs and 3.5mm jack. Also its the cheapest of the lot. Howz it sound quality, cam quality and network reception ?

Does it really give that much talktime with a mere 860 mAh battery? (BL-4c) ?

I was basically an SE fan. But my K790's fast post is giving lots of trouble while charging and connecting earphones. And battery is draining fast while on calls.

Is there any other option in this budget?

X3 is also an option since my fiancee wants that because she wants slider. First she had selected the X2.
But i think with X2's 5Mpx you should not expect too much as it wont be the same camera module used in any other expensive phones from nokia etc, it will be inferior. I may be wrong though.
Talk time would have been obviously exaggerated.

But cedar has only 4 hrs 40 mins TT

Errr.... Thats on 3G. on 2G it has 12 hrs talktime. Plus it has a micro USB for charging . So no more troubles with fast port (another old SE user who was fed up with fast port )
Plus this comes with 7.2Mbps HSDPA, okish 2MP shooter, Mega bass feature too and 2GB microSD bundled.

Battery Standard battery, Li-Po 1000 mAh (BST-43)
Stand-by Up to 420 h (2G) / Up to 475 h (3G)
Talk time Up to 12 h 30 min (2G) / Up to 5 h (3G)

TBH i don't really trust SE's build quality or after sales service. I've also observed that the phones made in China/Singapore don't last very long and are full of all sorts of issues and usually die after a year. My K-790i(bought OCT 2008) was made in China and my friend's K-790i was made in Sweden (he bought it after it just launched worldwide after the release of James Bond Casino Royale) his phone still works and he uses it as his primary phone whereas my phone was defective when I bought it.It was with the SE service center for 6-7 months after which they gave me a C-510 which also died within 8 months. Go for the Nokia X-3. Nokia also has a better resale value when you feel like selling your phone.

^^ How does one know where the phone is manufactured ? There is a very old way but it seems to be fake.

My SE w800i is about 4.5 years old and is still going strong.

Just that i had to change the LCD panel once, a month back or so.

I agree with sunny27 about SE handset quality.

SE handset bought by 2007 or before was very very good quality, minor repair work after 3-4 yrs is expected, but from mid of 2008 I myself witness very bad quality by SE as the phone was bought by me friend for Rs.7.5k at that time & within 6 month the panel come out it self.

Even on another forum one of very prominent & mobile enthusiastic member worn (1-2 yrs before) me about SE quality if the handset is below 10k range.

I don't know about latest SE range & build, may be they improved or .....

One of my mobile tech. friend recommends (in june 2010) that if you want under 10k than go with Samsung (he voted for Metro 3310) & for 10k above budget prefer Nokia E series.

The SE cedar seems promising, and it seems it has micro USB and not the usual SE's fast port.

SO its either Cedar or X2 now :)

She wont allow me to spend anything more than that for a phone.

^^ It was something similar to the one below. The model number was bit different. Not sure what it was. I bought it for something in range of 300-400 rupees IIRC. And it does not have its mic near the mouth which seems to be your requirement.

While talking with my fiancee, she never faced any audio issues when i was using it but when i gave her to use, i was feeling that the audio was quiet distinct which made the conversation difficult. Hence we stopped using it.

But yes physically it is super comfortable especially because of the holder available.

DealExtreme: $8.37 Bluedio H9 Bluetooth 2.1 Handsfree Headset (7-Hour Talk/100-Hour Standby)

Could not find anything what i had bought, on ebay so gave a dealextreme link.
