So PS4 is going to destroy the Xbox One.
PS4 costs $100 less than the XB one. And unlike in XB one, PS4 games are reusable, backwards compatible, wont require internet.

RIP Microsoft.

I just can't believe the pricing! 400USD?! :dead:

The next Uncharted title is exclusive to the PS4 woot! And used titles work as usual. Pure win!

Looks like Sony ate MS for breakfast, lunch and dinner! :hilarious:

For online play PS+ subscription a must. $50 but as you already know so much better than Xbox Live in terms of Free/discounted content. I cancelled my Xbox subscription last week.[DOUBLEPOST=1370925058][/DOUBLEPOST]
Darn, the pricing is very good. Hope that it comes down further after a year or so.

Already looking for a price cut ? :)

Hope the Rupee starts feeling well again. 58 for a dollar!

I'm not complaining my existing subscription gets carried forward to PS4:)

But for newer folks not sure if PS4 restricts just MP or all online services.

That's still okay dude considering the number of free titles Sony gives its users. I am not much into MP so I wouldn't need one anyway. :p

Its an absolute bargain mate. We will be getting games like drive club in the first damn year itself!
This is like less than 5$ a month. Ridiculously cheap to improve the only place where sony lags.

30 k is too low for a start . Can see it being 35 k keeping in mind the current euro conversion cost and adding all the extra costs.
You get a next gen console at the price of a tablet. Decent price.

So 399$ for console 50$ for ps+ and 60$ for EYE...total 510$...now which is cheaper..?
You don't need Eye to play games. You don't need PSN to play single player, which most play anyway. Moreover, PSN pays itself over many times by the time you are finished with the subscription.

With Xbox One, you have to authenticate your game every 24hrs. If your net connection is down (which we Indians are well familiar with), you can't even play the game you've bought.

PS4 is the only console that makes sense to buy in India. Maybe in first world countries, where they have excellent back-end infrastructure, the always-on DRM may not be such a hindrance. The few advantages might sway users to Xbox One over PS4, but definitely not in India. We trade many games amongst ourselves, and even depend on selling the already-played games to fund our next. With Xbox One, you can't do that either.

So, which exactly is cheaper? Even if PS4 comes to $600, it would still hold more value than Xbox One.

But the server costs are there, and the service has power/bandwidth requirements.

You may argue saying that we can play games online from one time purchase, but PS+ offers more lot than just online play.

Almost all modern multiplayer gaming is P2P. Server costs are no justification for a paywall for multiplayer.

Even if you consider a 5 year life span for consoles and you find PS+ and Xbox Live for a generous 50% discount, that is an added $150 for the console. $550 is a lot more than $400
