PS5 compatible 980 pro amongst these which is the only Gen4 drive of the bunch
You are right and it seems that PS5 does not works with Gen 3 SSD. So it will have to be Gen 4 only.
The warranty is being provided by you or by Samsung (whatever is remaining on this drive).
