Bought this exact case. Delivered today and it's USB2 as I suspected. Nobody manufacturers USB 1.1 anymore.
It's small and very compact. Worth the 700 spent.

How is the fit ? Are they good for running/working out ?
Very comfortable and snug fit, ok for running can't say about workout.

comparison wise both are equally good but for running and workout LG's fit is even better than Samsung but Samsung is slightly more comfortable.
LG's got better IP rating as well so I am using LG for running and physical activities.
build quality is excellent for both but Samsung has smaller case and yes Samsung feels more premium in hand.
I 've still not compared other features in detail.
