CPU/Mobo ASUS M4A88T-M Command Rate Attribute missing from BIOS

Hello,

I purchased M4A88T-M yesterday but to my surprise, ASUS does not facilitate Command Rate attribute selection in DRAM timing settings.

This restricts me to using Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB @ 1333MHz for compatibility (irrespective of Timings)

My existing config:

X4 B50

2x4GB Vengeance

MSI 5850 TFII

ASUS Xonar DG

4x HDD

VX450

My previous Board:

Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H

Reason for Changing the board:

To be able to use the Sata ports

(The position and orientation of Sata ports on gigabyte board restricted me to using only 3 Ports at max, the cables were stressed in this case)

This issue was there in many ASUS board, but I forgot to account it while purchasing

However, fortunately, I can set Command Rate = 2 using AMD OverDrive.

This is not convenient since I have to do this until it reaches desktop safely without freezing (which it does sometimes).

This is not yet a huge problem since I boot my PC only once in a day; but having a permanent solution would surely be very helpful.

My reasons of selecting an older series board are:

VFM

No requirement for USB3 and Sata III

Anticipated upgrade to IvyBridge or Sandy Bridge in 5-6 months.

What I want to know:

I would like to know if there is any way I can enable 2T at boot (bios mod etc)

Alternatives

What alternatives I can try:

I can ask the vendor to replace my board with another one; I do not want to spend alot and want to stick to Gigabyte OR Asus.
