I got to infer from head-fi that Fischer Audio Eterna and Vsonic GR06 are the IEMs close to M2's signature
I suck at describing sound signatures but i understand it clearly when someone is describing it![]()
What u say abt the M2 is right, it has what they call the V-shaped signature i think and that is what i want for the kind of music i listen to which the M4 supposedly has too.
I ll try to post impressions here when i get em
What review made you think that?
I have no idea about GR06, but Eterna sounds nothing like M2. In terms of broad frequency response, M2 has a slight mid bass emphasis, while Eterna has much more quantity in the same region. Eterna's extension is slight more. In terms of mids, M2 is more forward and warm, while Eterna's is well recessed, thicker, more cooler. Treble might be a tad even with a slight edge in quality to Eterna. In terms of sound stage, Eterna is bigger in terms of width and depth. But, in terms of overall feel, M2 is more a warm, bass focused, forward mid IEM, while Eterna is more about bass with a cooler signature. I prefer Eterna to M2, but not everyone does.
GR06 probably could be a match if it sounds like GR07 without the sibilance spike. GR07 was technically, accessory wise and build quality wise much better. SQ wise, balance, sound stage, bass quality, mid range quality and treble were much better as well. They do not sound alike, but both have what I'd call 'a no non-sense, please all' kind of signature - just in different ways. If GR06 is voiced similar to GR07, but with a smoother treble, it could be worth looking into.
did you ask mp4nation to declare it as a gift cause someone had to go through hassles of customs while dealing with them...also which shipping option did you choose
