Max Payne 3's PC requirements and screenshots arrive!

Max Payne 3 will be out worldwide on consoles in under a month from now, and it might still be in need of some final touches. Rockstar have released the PC requirements of the game today, and it looks grim with people with smaller Hard Discs.

The game will require a mammoth 35 GB of Disc Space (you didn't read that wrong) and can potentially utilise upto 16 GB of RAM. So people with overkill rigs might be in for a ride come this Summer.

The official Rockstar blog also points out that the Windows version of Max Payne 3 was “developed in parallel with the game’s console versions†and “supports DirectX11 including tessellation, as well as a number of additional advanced graphics options,†which is definitely heartening to see, for PC gamers.

The requirements of the game are given below (Minimum / Maximum) :

Max Payne 3 PC System Specifications
  • Operating System: Windows 7 32/64 Service Pack 1, Windows Vista 32/64 Service Pack 2, Windows XP 32/64 Service Pack 3
  • Processor: Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ – i7 3930K 6 Core x 3.06 GHZ / AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ – FX8150 8 Core x 3.6 GHZ
  • RAM: 2GB – 16GB
  • Video Card: NVIDIA® 8600 GT 512MB VRAM – NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 680 2GB VRAM / Radeon HD 3400 512MB VRAM – Radeon HD 7970 3GB VRAM
  • Sound Card: 100% Direct X 9.0 compatible – Direct X 9.0 compatible supporting Dolby Digital Live
  • HDD Space: 35 GB
  • DVD Drive

Max Payne 3 will be released worldwide on the 18th of May, 2012 for the PS3/Xbox 360 and the 1st of June, 2012 for the PC. A TV advert was released by Rockstar, which can be viewed below. Beware, it's mostly in Slo-mo.

You can check out the PC screenshots below. No doubting they look neat, but vastly similar to last year's PC port of LA Noire.

Minimum requirements on the left.

Besides those aren't even recommended, it's probably just an indication of what hardware the game supports or runs well on.

Same here way to go Rockstar !!,

where is the Kingston guys phone number!!! (goes looking for it)

They system requirements are quite exorbitant, but the game looks interesting.

Yeah same was the case with rage!! But this is rockstar....their games are always big and demanding, IIRC.

35GB !! some of use SSD's for gaming.

...but then again it could all be worth iit if Rockstar pull off another 10/10.

IMHO its an early GOTY contender thats for sure....
