Want advice on stopping a spitting menace

Recently from a month or so, i've been seeing some spit marks on my front door. Some retard living on the floor above mine is chewing betel leaves (paan) and using my door to empty his mouth. Thankfully the door is painted black, and stains are not visible, just the streaks.

First thought that came in my head is to put up a cctv and catch the guy and make him pay for a new door. But it seems too much and costly for this purpose.

Another thought is to put up a slogan in hindi so he will think twice about spitting.

Need your suggestions on this. Can you give me some advice on how to tackle such an irritating person?

Personally, i feel like punching that guy in his face if i catch him red handed.
 
Try the Slogan idea ,
if he doesn't pay heed to it, then spit on his door to piss him.
But it may turn violent

Let me tell u a short real life story.
our neighborhood consists of numerous bungalows with 11 bungalows in our lane, open space in between and another 11 bungalows on the opposite side.
Now one bullish family from the opposite side bungalows used to bring their 3 dogs for a walk/natures call and they used defecate exactly opposite to my neighbors bungalow.

now just imagine 3 dogs doing it daily. Its got to stink after a few days right. It went on for over 4 months. My neighbor finally lost it and tried stopping the dogs from defecating but the bully was adamant and didnt budge. My neighbor complained to police but they too were helpless as the bully told the police that "There is no law that prevents dogs from defecating in open public places." and "Until the Govt makes one Please Mind your own business" THE END.

Story cant end without a HERO right. In comes "ROWDY" (thats me). I told my neighbor to give his car an unexpected oil change done right at home. Add a 2 litres of black oil paint to the waste oil and play holi with the dogs only(not to touch the bully)
Guess what the bully was so pissed to see his black colored dogs he lost it. He involved the police but then my neighbor told police "There is no law that says I cannot throw garbage on dogs that defecate in front of my house" and "Until the Govt makes one Please Mind your own business"

Attack is the best form of Defense.
If you keep quiet he will think u r scared.

Causing harm to his dogs was downright stupid, that motor oil could have caused skin problems or partial blindness. Seriously how old are you?
