Canon EOS 1100D(Rebel T3)

Hi

I am a point and shoot guy who has bit of free time to get into serious photography. It all started with me looking for a superzoom or bridge camera in excess of 20x zoom and then i came across DSLRs in similar range.

I was almost ready to buy Nikon P510 but then as i saw reviews i came to know that the entry level DSLR can be much better than a high end point and shoot.

So here i am.

After alot of R&D, i came across Canon EOS 1100D, Nikon D3100 and Canon EOS 550d as the 3 top cameras in upto 35K range. Then i started searching online deals

Now i found a very sweet deal on ebay : Kit lens 18-55 is one for 22590
Compared to this, D3100 is around 28K and EOS is available at 35K+, so i am begining to feel EOS 1100D is most VFM ( please correct me here)

Now my doubt is flipkart is selling the same model at 29K, and many ebay sellers are selling at 27K. This seller in perticular is very cheap. On asking the make he said its Genuine piece with 2 year canon india warranty and it is made in china model.

I know that canon cameras are made in Japan or taiwan.so i dont know if this china model is counterfeit or real
Any help would be appreciated

I am in Bangalore. Do you have contacts of any brick and mortar stores which can be trusted ? ppl like GK Vale, JJ Mehta, Flipkart, infibeam everyone has it around 29K.
I checked with another seller on Ebay who is selling the pc for 26900 who says it is made in Taiwan

Which is why i felt 22500 is a steal. I checked the feedback of this seller. For the camera i see majority with good feedback
 
FotoCircle, one of the better places in Bangalore. The owner is Jayesh Mehta, kind of DSLR celebrity. Go to his shop and take a look at the different models. You should have a feel of the cam before buying. Even if you don't buy, you will find plenty of models on display at his shop, which is really helpful.
