Storage Solutions Getting HDD or SDD from Thailand?

Hi Guys,

Some people from my wife's office are going to Thailand for a company trip. I was thinking of getting some SSDs and HDDs from there if its cheaper there.

What would you guys suggest? Is it worthwhile importing SSD and HDD from Thailand? I don't really know the price points there.

If its worthwhile, from where should I ask them to purchase in Thailand?

A year back, my father was on a visit to bangkok and i asked him to get a portable hdd if its cheaper there. But its not so. In fact its expensive there.You will be ripped off mate apart from losing warranty. So beware...

Its safe to get it here. I think you can be better of with an LED tv as i heard that its very cheap there even if duty is applied...

In Bangkok I remember having visited the IT Mall (aka The Pantip Plaza) which deals in almost all PC hardware, it's located on New Phetchaburi Road. But seriously IMHO, I would say just get your HDD's from here and enjoy the warranty and peace of mind.
