Buying from US - Best Deals - Discussion Thread

:)

In their online calculator, it was coming to 9978 and it asked if I want to buy, "Pay Now" 9978. Is it safe? I hope later on, they will not say that this information was not correct and increase the price?

If you know, how many days they take to deliver?

I have requested for a quote also.

TIA. :)

Depends on the category I guess, I selected other storage category.

I would wait for the actual quote, sometimes they send a revised quote after payment and ask you to pay extra, so wait till tomorrow and they will send the quote.

Once its delivered at their location about 4-5 days.

So ishop basically buys themselves and ships it to us rgt? so what happens in case of eBay auctions, where its won by us.

^Interesting but it will be a headache if its a DOA

True, that's the reason I don't prefer buying hard disks from US.

WD warranty seems to be valid internationally though. My friend was able to RMA his WD External drive in India which was purchased in Singapore. Can anyone else confirm? Maybe its valid only within the region ie Asia Pacific in this case.

Yes one of my WD drive also had warranty in India . One of my Seagate 7200 rpm 3.5 purchased from newegg also showed warranty available in India . What I have learned or understood is all professional drives like 7200 rpm / hybrid have international warranty . Anybody with Seagate 2.5 Momentous XT can confirm ? or with 7200 rpm drive ?

What are some good phones to buy from US. The price difference should be significant to make the purchase worth and deal with issues like no warranty.
