0-20k Need a Gaming PC for 1080p video gameplay on a LCD TV via HDMi

Hi Team,

Could anyone advice me on which will the best configuration on which i can play NFS MW 2012 or COD BO 2 in full HD enabling all graphic options; without any lag.

I do not require a monitor.. Planning to use my LCD TV as monitor via HDMI.

My suggestion.

Intel G2010 @2.9ghz - rs 3300

Gigabyte H61 -D2h - rs 2900

Corsair Valueselect ram 1333mhz 4gb - rs 1800

Wd cavier blue 500gb - rs 2900

Asus/Samsung dvd writer - rs 1000

Zebronics cabinet (without psu) - rs 1000

Antec vp 350w psu - rs 1800

Saphhire hd 7750 1gb ddr5 - rs 6500

Total - rs 21,200

This is far better than you choosed.but you can only play at 720p with this config

you need more 4-5k atleast to plat games at 1080p with med-high settings.

Can you provide me a configuration which can support 1080p with full graphics enabled ; at min cost..?

I am ok to shell out 4 to 5 k more if required.

could you provide me a 1080p full graphic configuration which is has lowest priced.
 
If i replace the GPU with nvidia gtx 650ti instead of a Sapphire hd 7750 1gb ddr5; will i be able to play in 1080p without lag..?

The CPU Specification says that PCI Express Revision is 2.0

Where as the Motherboard website says that

Designed for PCI Express Gen.3 Support

Will it make the motherboard to underperform. Or am i reading it wrong?

Your cpu does not support pci 3.0, your gpu will work at pci 2.0.But the good hardly any gpu can even leverage the bandwidth of pci 2.0 specially at entry level.So go ahead with this setup.You may also like to consider amd apu offering

Hay thanks for the reply Satyanjoy. it was really helpful. Just one more question, do you know if i replace Sapphire hd 7750 1gb ddr5 with nvidia gtx 650ti will i be able to play in 1920x1080 without any lag with high graphic settings..?

at 1080p high setting, you will need atleast 7850 if not 660 or 7870. 7770 is the minimum to play at 720p with medium setting.If gaming is high priority, you really need 7850 2gb atleast, save up ,wait and don't compromise on it.

1. How much would the 7850 2GB cost..?
2. 7850 is this a Nvidia or Sapphire..? Sorry pretty new to terminologies..
3. Will it be compatable and optimal with below config:

CPUIntel G2010 @2.8ghz
MotherboardGA-H61M-D2H

7850 is a amd card. Sapphire is one of the AMD gpu manufacturer. Yeah it will work with your setup. But may need to add a somewhat better PSU.
For Power supply unit :
Seasonic S12II 430 Watts PSU for Rs.3646 or Seasonic S12II 520 Watts PSU for Rs.4586 (flipkart price). It is always wise to have a higher powered psu than your current need, which give enough room to expand later on (for example if you want to add a more powerfull gpu or cpu).Seasonic use better quality capacitor than its competitor specially at this price range.

Or you can look at cx500

HD 7850 with that CPU would lead to a bottleneck. Get atleast an Intel i3 2120 CPU if you want to use a HD 7850 to its full potential.

Pick CX430.

CPU-55W
GPU-150W (7850, 2GB)
say another 100W total for your HDD, RAM, MOBO, DVD-WRITER and FANS
This is around 300W for your complete system, I get the same figure from this link http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine after taking 25% capacitor aging.
This means that you have still around 130W room left if you pick CX430, it also implies that you can put a non-k i5-quad in the same config in the future as the difference is just another 25W TDP.

=> CX430 is sufficient for the above requirement. (Don't get confused with the old CX430, the one that did not have any rating). The latest one in the market now supports 32A on the 12V rail (which is a decent 384W on the 12V rail) and is also bronze certified unlike CX430V2 which was just 80+ certified and had only 28A on 12V rail. I just bought one 2 days back from Golcha computers, Bangalore for 2500/- + 5.5% VAT, 3Y warranty. Corsair has reverted to the old name CX430 instead of using CX430V3. This caused a lot of confusion. I spent few hours on the net to resolve this.

Since you are just buying a dual core and overclocking is not in your immediate plans, and considering the fact that future CPUs and GPUs will use lesser power than the current generation (Because of improved technology nodes every 1.5-2 years) CX430 will be enough. Divert the saved money towards the GPU.

If gaming is your priority, why not a PS3/Xbox 360? Both game titles you mentioned are available on those platforms.

You need to keep his budget in mind. If he spends 4k more for the i3 2120, he would need to drop 4k from his GPU budget.
Would an i3 2120 + 7770 be faster than a G2010 + 7850? I doubt it.

If you can wait then go for the upcoming Richland APU's from AMD, or even Haswell from Intel, because in that constrained budget of yours one will not be able to get much of anything i.e. neither gaming nor compute oriented power, at least from any of the combinations that you may get right now ;)

Oh I guess I overlooked that, perhaps it would be fine only if the PSU is placed in an AC room and not run near 100% load, say 75% instead. :(
But on page 15 of the attached pdf, it says that the operating temperature range is 0 to 50 C, and Indian conditions are well within these limits.
Is ambient temperature the only reason here for failure here ? Will adding more fans in the CPU offset this time to failure ?

The operating temperature seems like a vague spec, especially when they've listed 'continuous output rated temperature' at 30C. Funny thing is the VS series which is worse than CX, has 'continuous output' rated at a higher 40C, so these specs don't seem to be reliable indicators of lifespan.

Yeah poor quality caps like these are sensitive to heat. Heat can be from ambient temps, or ripple current (depends on load and PSU design). The irony is cheaper PSUs by design have more ripple, and this shortens the already poor lifespan of cheap caps. Cooling the caps will definitely prolong their life, but considering these caps are often inside a crowded PCB with lots of components, I'm not sure if just reducing the ambient temperatures inside the PC Cabinet will help.
