Hi Guys,

I am looking to finally bite the bullet and upgrade from my current galaxy Y to a phone which does not lag and has good user experience.

I am considering the mentioned 3 phones but below are my views/questions on them

Pros:
1. Octa Core processor
2. Coupled with samsung reliability of providing updated to 2 year old flagship phone

None of them.

Go for samsung S4 google play edition ( not the regular. ) ~35k

go for nexus 4 for budget of ~25k.

HAHA...Seems like you haven't read the OP's requirements. He has listed stock Android as a con for the Nexus 4. Doesn't make sense spending an extra 10K to get a Google edition S4.

@Handy The S4 has a brilliant Camera. Decent battery life and is pretty snappy. Look out for some deals and may be you get it at around 33K.

IMHO the Samsung Galaxy Note II is one of the best available phones right now. I am using it for the last 1 month and I just love it. TouchWiz is not half as bad as people make it out to be. There is no lag. And once one gets used to the big screen, it is virtually impossible to switch to a smaller screen. Not to mention the quality of its screen. Its one of the best. Battery life is excellent due to its 3100mAh capacity.

The exchange offer is still going on, I think. Also even without the exchange, it is available for approx 28.5k on shopclues.

Thanks for the reply guys. I don't see nexus being worth especially in case i root it and then brick it. I have done this countless number of times on Samsung phone and every single time samsung service center have repaired it. Keep the inputs pouring

I thought Samsung S4 has the best camera right now (or at least in the top 3 easily). So how did it become a bad camera ? :p

IMO its the best phone right now except for its plastic looks which doesn't make it seem like a flagship device. The HTC One looks amazing with its Unibody construction but lack of expandable memory is a let down especially for those who load their mobiles with music and videos.

ebay.in , and yeah I think so.
Where did you see it for 35 k ?

What i find is this, 59k, 61k & 67K that too for just 16GB models !

IIRC the GSM arena review stated that the HTC One's cam was good for low light but S4 was better in all other sections, I might be wrong.
S4 is a better all round camera, but it does much more cropping than the HTC. Actually for these cameras given the sensor size is pretty similar, the only REAL difference is in the image post processing algorithms used.

You want a good camera, then nokia 1020 which is a reincarnation of 808 pureview remains the top choice.

I have not mentioned in need a "great" camera. Still no consensus it seems. If i get the S4 after exchanging by Galaxy Y for about 30-31 i think it might be a good buy.

Thats not quite true actually, the 1020 uses a slightly smaller sensor than the 808. I think with improvements in sensor tech the 1020 might overcome or match the 808 but nevertheless its not the same sensor.
