Market Feedback What happened to my sale thread?

And in the meanwhile, let the guidelines be flouted ?
I suggest allow regular sale / re sale by member - fee based. Say 1% of the sale value ?

deter second hand goods dealers. Everyone wants some profit or best possible price to put it euphemistically

This.

People should really start to get this into their heads. Everyone wants profits. Some moral police's are having a field day in market sections picking on other people's nose. It a really a bad thing to step into someones thread when its NOT about their money. Always the justification is let the buyer know. I always wonder when was the last time a buyer actually bought something for a high price. and what is the definition of that high price.

And yet there are others who continue to sell for profit , even after being warned by mods for the first time , they list again and despite reporting no action is being taken. :wideyed:
Stop BSing, nobody - not even you - has reported any thread.

Could your annoyance be because the "others" happen to be selling an LG G2 like you and undercutting your margin?

Nope my lg g2 thread.
Ohh that LG G2 thread which magically gave birth to 2? :

How stupid do you think people are?

I have reported twice. I dont know how reporting works..and no its not undercutting . that's your opinion. You have a personal liking for me ever since i reported soyab007 thread

I stopped posting phones which I bought for resale over here because that was discouraged, not a rule per se, and I can respect that. I also don't care if someone is flouting that rule or not because who am I to say that their reason is a lie. It is a personal choice and I decided to stop lying and stop posting such phones.
Then in one of the hot deals section I was asked by some members that if I was getting a good price for the G2, to still let them buy from me even if I was making profit out of it. One of the members told me that if my price was better than what it was in the market, I would still be helping the community. I sold around 5-6 brand new G2s for 25k shipped even without putting up a sale thread. I still don't want to get in the middle of it and still won't put up a sale thread until that is a personal phone that I am looking to get rid of.

Also I believe that there are many immature heads out there who believe in pushing their opinion on the people just because they feel the price is high/unfair. Dealing with those people popping in the 'for profit' threads will be a PITA for the mods from what I have seen in some other forums. In fact that is one of the reasons XDA MP was closed, because the mods had had enough of it.

From personal experience, I don't see a reason for price policing. It is actually very simple. If the price is too high, the product won't sell. If someone buys it for a price you deem too high, there can be other reasons that you don't take into account, majorly
1) Time and hassles required to import the phone/device on their own.
2) Getting a good deal/similar price that I or other reseller get.
3) Trust. I believe it is easier to trust a guy on these forums than a seller on eBay and I also believe we earn this trust and are more careful of our reputation.

Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree with the above post. Price policing is outright bullying in forums. Nothing else. Unless you cannot prove a person is a fraud, keep out of that thread. The self appointed "senior members" who look for the better for others or the "I-am-more-ethical-than-you" lot.

Always the justification is to let the community know or the buyer know. Even if that is the case, which never is, do it atleast in a polite manner. Dont be a dick/jerk/douche bag to the seller.
he is just a guy selling his stuff. Ofcourse he wants the best price. why should he not? 90% of the stuff sold in market is over prized according to used market. People come to forum JUST to get the best price. If a buyer can do that, why not the seller? Its upto the buyer to do his due diligence.

Like i suggested. Non-dealer , regular sellers be charged 1% or some amount so that there are no such problems

Eh? What logic is that?

Live and Let live. Instead of no sale rules. It should be allowed. Let people benefit.

But a rule should be made. No price policing in threads. Strict. If you have relevant information, inform the buyer via PM politely. Let him respond. If not fruitful, make it public

When someone posts something public about someone else sale thread, the seller will be pissed. He as every right to be. I mean the dick who is provocating him wants just that.
In a PM, the seller will have the chance to rethink the price. The seller deserves as much as respect as everyone else. Why should he be singled out? Just coz he wants 500INR more?

That is not as easy as you think. If they start doing that, TE becomes a party in the transaction and open to prosecution if a deal goes sour tomorrow.
Again what if someone doesn't want to pay that fees and again lies. That will lead to unnecessary finger pointing and flame wars which will eat up the precious time of the mods, who, if you have forgotten, are not getting paid to do what they do.

Let the mods revisit their stand, as pointed out above by Renegade, and let's just hope for the best.

Cos forum is bring used to make a profit so pay for it

Please understand what public forums means. If the forum starts to make money, things are difficult for them. Forum, as far as i understand, gives you a platform.
It takes no part in cash deals. Good or bad. If they rake in profits, they are responsible. For the frauds also.
