Market Feedback Problem with manohar on Note 2 Deal

Hey folks. @Manohar had a Note 2 up for sale. I had confirmed the deal with him and also paid an advance of close to 3500. Then due to some personal problems I couldn't pay him all the money. So i put the deal on hold. When I finally got the money, I guess some 20 days after, i reverted back to him and transferred rest of the money to his account. As he was unable to ship, I had asked a dealer in Bangalore that I knew by the name of SYED to ship the product to me. Everything was done and in place but due to some of his work problems and other issues, it got delayed by a week or so and finally we had to call off the deal as the guy I was buying it for backed out due to the delay. Now as per our conversation, he said he will gladly refund the money. He did so for the first 10000 out of 20000 that i paid him but, then he had some family emergency, his mother was hospitalized and he couldn't do the rest as he needed that money and also the fact that he had to look after his mother. So i let go looking at the circumstances and did not press hard for money. And its been more than 3 weeks now, he hasn't been picking up my calls either but he conveyed last week in msg that everything is fine on his end and he would do the transfer by 20th. All passed I called him again and he said it was 4 days holiday due to Good Friday and so he couldn't do it he will do it for sure on monday. But its Wednesday, and he hasn't even picked my call yet nor has he refunded the money. I dont think he is a bad guy at all going by his reviews and the conversations I had with him, but its high time and I am really scared about the money as he hasn't been reverting me. If any of you has his contact details or know him personally, kindly ask him to get back to me and get things sorted.

I got a message from him yesterday stating that his mom passed away the day before. I have asked him to call me once and get things sorted.
I dont really know how to tackle this situation, it must actually be hard time for him. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
 
That is exactly what I am doing currently. But my finances arent supporting me that well. Will wait a couple more days I guess.
 
Dude just wait it out please. The world has crumbled upon that guy. I know you may be concerned about your money but i would say please just let the guy alone for few days. If anyone here knows Manohar personally, i would request that guy to transfer the money to Vijit in the interim and then that guy can talk to Manohar later.
 
Better you wait fella, i have dealt with him locally twice .. agree he had some family problem during my deal also so had to wait some time... well i dont know him much but i know his house address(been once) and office . So if anythin comes up will try and help you out just in case..
 
Thanks @raksrules and @acerulz for your suggestions. I will wait a little more and then drop him a polite text. I understand the kind of situation he is in mate, thats why I havent been doing anything at all. And the first impressions from the guy were not deceiving or negative at all, so I know I dont have to worry about money. But time is not on my side either, thats why I felt the need to raise this thread.
 
Its been almost 6 weeks now and I still haven't received money back. He messaged me last on May 6, saying he will transfer me by friday, and its been a week more than that and i still havent received anything. As usual he is still not picking my call. Any help here will be highly appreciated.
 
Not to be insensitive, but there has been a lot of fraud cases on forums recently.

Around 4-5 of them on E in the last 1-2months itself.

All you can do is wait a bit more.

I have been waiting buts its been too long. I fear if a step is not taken now, I may never get it back.
 
If you ask me the OP has been patient enough. I wonder how the rest of you would have reacted if it was you. Looking at other feedback in this section I'd say you would be talking about involving the police now.
 
I don't know why my post (made few weeks back) was deleted. It always seemed like a scam to me. If there is someone here who is from the scammer's city, it's time to pay a "visit".
 
I live simply too far away so it would be too much of a hassle to come down personally. Acerulz has given me his probable address.
He had whatsapped me again on 17th saying he will do it in 2-3 days but still nothing. Anybody living nearby kathreguppe, or working in accenture banerghatta and willing to take it up with him?
 
On 23rd, he whatsapped me saying he will arrange the money and transfer it by monday. Its friday now and no calls or messages. He hasnt been replying to mine and his phone number is constantly switched off. This situation is sad and depressing. Only hope I now hav is @guneshwor

For that there is eBay/PayPal. Forums are never meant to be an escrow service and they shouldn't turn into one either. Please read the disclaimers. A MP is not a responsibility of the site admins/mods. It is just provided as a facility.
