Yipieeee !!! Even me too.... Will be in Srinagar from 5-7 Sept and in Leh/Ladakh from 8-16Sept for the Marathon.
Anyone from Pune?

simple... chang la, pangong tso, khardung la, nubra valley, shayok valley

while returning from ladakh, go to manali via bara-lacha la

Hmm nice guys enjoy yourselves. Would have lvoed to have made a ladkh trip but I tore my ankle ligament completely falling off on the descent from Sarpass. Has anyone here done the chadhar trek? or stok kangri for that matter.

you going all alone ?? :D :D: D
planning for car via srinagar or bike ?
if you plan to go by bike, dont listen to anyone saying that the road is closed due to snow fall. This was told to us by a mechanic when we told him that we missed the return trip due to baralacha la being closed. He said "whats the big problem? just tie up your handkerchief to the rear tyre and ride..." We were dumb struck for a moment. We were like... "why the **** didnt we get this idea earlier?"
Also, carry a lot of petrol. we missed out the china border at siachin due to petrol rationing.

How does tying up a handkerchief to the rear tyre help?

it works as a makeshift snow chain. so that you dont have to wait till the army clears the snow.
