With Flash sales becoming the norm, hoarders who are only interested in making money are ripping innocent people. This kind of behavior needs to be sternly discouraged, I suggest concerned mod/admins to remove their threads from the market section and ban them for life.

This kind of transaction is taking place merely for a phone......imagine then for a seat in reputed college then? or a seat in parliament? this chalega bhai attitude of both buyers and sellers needs to be clipped at the bud lest it leads to rampant corruption-not that we need more.

No self respecting person cashes on others desperation....obviously these guys have none.

An example is this guy......my comments were deleted.

If people cannot see right and wrong we have very rough days ahead.

As far as I can think these are just about ones ethics on deciding what is wrong or not for themselves. As a buyer/mod/member in TE (or any forum for that matter), who are we to say that the seller must sell their item for the price we want to buy for? Its his phone that he is selling and who are we to decide his price.

As a buyer, you can only choose not to buy it.

BTW, selling something for a higher price than CP is not corruption, its business. But offering to pay more just to get the item ahead of someone else and making use of the service is corruption.

PS:: This is my opinion, people have their own.

What is the MRP of the phone written on the box? As long as they are not selling it beyond the MRP, I see no harm.

OP needs to learn about demand and supply.
And also about legal and illegal sale. Selling tickets are illegal because they aren't transferable. :)

Though I won't sell phones in my FK cart the way some are doing, it is too much to expect others to do the same. The buyer knows that he is buying it for a higher price, and if he is OK with that, it is not illegal/wrong.

What I am not OK with is that the same members trying to sell phone in their cart for a profit, then expect someone else to pass their phone to them without any extra charges.

Whose that ugly ?

That sale thread is perfect according to TE market section rules.

MRP on box is 16999/-.

I agree with the OP. This is not supply and demand problem.
We live in a time when prices of essential commodities are rising because of hoarding and it is difficult to get confirmed tatkal ticket unless you get it from an agent at a higher price. If people still don't understand that this shortage of supply is being created on purpose so that more money can be extracted from people.
simple, tickets aren't transferable.
AFAIK, goods brought from FK, Amazon, etc. are marked as for personal use & not for resale. So its the same.

We have been deleting threads that put up items in FK cart for sale. As long as the seller has the mobile in hand, and willing to take some responsibility and go through the hassles of shipping it to the buyer, it is his prerogative to price it as per what he deems is fair.

Why should there be rules that an experienced member or a new member should follow?
If a new member joins and flouts it what difference does it make to a person with a good reputation selling /giving it off for the same price he purchased for?

The very two rules fly in the air, atleast rather than deleting such threads, an infraction should have been done!
1. You must have the product you are selling in possession at the time of sale.

2. You must provide 2 clearly visible pictures of the product along with your TE username and date written by hand on a piece of paper next to the product. Try to provide picture of bundled accessories if any.

Interesting.
I would like to see a source for this information. But if its just your thought, I am afraid, you are wrong.

The problem here is not about just selling at higher price....but they are blocking others who want it for own use, therby forcing them to buy at a higher price when stocks are empty.
Let these people go scot free and they will start making a living out of it. No surprise there is a middleman for everything in INDIA.
Also i know just banning them from TE will not bring this to a stop, but at least this is a start.

Anyone booking tickets with IRCTC during tatkal rush hour can relate this experience.
I loathe these "agents" to such an extent that no words can express it..:p

Welcome to supply & demand.

How about xiaomi actually provide the numbers to meet the demand like any other company.

otherwise don't buy their product. WHO is forcing you to do it.

If people cannot see right and wrong we have very rough days ahead.
Only for those against the market.

See, the problem in this country is we have always fought the market. sought to impose our will.

I can understand your anguish. But all they are doing is taking the pain of booking it, getting it delivered and selling for their price. If you can, get hold of your piece. They arent stopping you from getting one nor do they have any recommendations over you. May be they are lucky or know the right way to be lucky.

Interesting.

From the invoice of my recent purchase of Amazon. Had to dig through garbage bin for this:
