Xiaomi Redmi 1S goes on sale on Flipkart for Rs. 5999

Shipping is supposed to start from 11th and to be delivered by 16th.
Not sure whether that will really happen, looking at the way flipkart is struggling during past week.
I see as i did not even see any shipments arrive for this product yet.

will be interesting to see the numbers being offered.

85k mi3's to date arrived will there be more for 1s less or the same.

Prolly a very stupid question. Selling movie tickets at higher prices is a crime. I have seen people being booked by the cops. Doesn't selling Redmi 1s at prices higher than MRP fall under the same ? But Xiaomi head Manu Jain's statement reads it's perfectly legal to resell the phone at higher prices.

Though its OT I shall reply your query. Movie tickets are non transferable and so reselling them at any price is illegal

BookMyShow sells movie tickets at a higher price than over the counter. The extra money is charged as Convenience fee. So the person who is charging more than MRP for the phone can take the extra money as convenience fee.

Super OT, but now these fu**s charge 10% plus tax on each ticket so if your ticket on a Sunday costs 430 odd like it does in Mumbai it's now almost 480. Just Nutsss

The MRP of Redmi 1s is Rs. 7,999 .
The MRP of Mi3 is Rs. 17,999

Selling goods higher than MRP is illegal in India. That is why after the hue and cry over soft drink prices at restaurants, they now serve bottles with higher MRP printed on them. Same bottle in a shop costs half the price usually.

Consumer rights are a joke, btw.

Shipping will start from Wed 10th Sept. But looking at the huge number of orders its safe to presume it will take a couple of days only to ship the orders. (They might have already started packaging and labelling the shipments.)

I ordered Pistons earphones from Flipkart, but won't be needing them. If anyone from Bangalore wants, let me know via PM ASAP, else I will not accept the delivery.
