Riding to office in big car than your boss ??

I got myself a sarkari job :D (Asst. Mgr Punjab National Bank) and hence my mom approved a loan for new car :D :D

was just thinking, will it create any issue, if i travel to office in bigger car(beemer or mercs) than my boss (branch manager, chief manager..etc) :(

also as per my CA, buying costly property after joining psu job might lead to IT investigation :( :(

It is fine. Just park far away from the bank, and walk down.
No, not necessarily. It's fine, society has moved out of such clichés.

Congratulations for the Assistant Manager job ! If it's a promotion from peon (As your profile says & you wrote departmental exams while working, got promoted ) you deserve a bigger car ! And flaunt it by all means...

Especially so if you're working in the same Branch as Manager now !

Dude, arent you the guy who owns a bazillion retail stores, some kick a$$ sports bikes and a tata safari storm?

A couple questions -

1) Why are you leaving your sprawling business for a bank job
2) Why not use the existing bike/car for work and use your high end care for other chores?

It can happen. Indian society is still quite backwards and hierarchy driven. Though, my solution to him was a joke. Of course, he can take his car to office. Nothing offensive will happen, but gossip mongers will talk...! It is no big deal.

If it is a honest question, don't do it. Many people are egoistical and will cause unnecessary work place friction. If he turns out to be a chill dude after working there for 6 months, then go ahead.

sarkari naukri = job security = increase in marriage prospects :D

@Criminal but after PSU job, i can't keep any other biz under my name :(

that's why your family too needs to deal in white money. all of your possessions are gifts, after all.

until your CA gives a go-ahead, you can drive your BMW with an appropriate bumper sticker... like, "Mom's Gift!"
