Riding to office in big car than your boss ??

I got myself a sarkari job (Asst. Mgr Punjab National Bank) and hence my mom approved a loan for new car

was just thinking, will it create any issue, if i travel to office in bigger car(beemer or mercs) than my boss (branch manager, chief manager..etc)

also as per my CA, buying costly property after joining psu job might lead to IT investigation

It can happen. Indian society is still quite backwards and hierarchy driven. Though, my solution to him was a joke. Of course, he can take his car to office. Nothing offensive will happen, but gossip mongers will talk...! It is no big deal.

If it is a honest question, don't do it. Many people are egoistical and will cause unnecessary work place friction. If he turns out to be a chill dude after working there for 6 months, then go ahead.
