90K+ Advice needed for new Gaming PC

Hey guys,

I'm right now in the process of buying a new Gaming Rig and I could use a little help since I may have selected sth inappropriate or there could be places of improvement.

So, getting right onto the business.

1) My Budget is 1,73000 INR.

2) My existing hardware configuration is:
  • MOBO: Gigabyte Ex-58 Extreme
  • CPU- i7 920 D0@ 4.2 GHz
  • RAM- 6GB GSkill Trident@2002 MHz
  • Graphics Card: ASUS R9-280X-DC2T
  • Corsair 750TX Power Supply
  • SSD-Crucial MX100 256 GB
  • Monitor-BenQ G2020 HD (1600x900 native resolution)
3) Which Hardware I will be keeping in new rig:
-All the old HDDs + my current SSD
-Plan to use the same power supply, although I was hoping to buy something modular but I can't due to budget constraints. I think my current PSU can handle the new rig without problems, I think.

4) Which components I'm looking to buy? Here it is:
  • MOBO: MSI X99A Gaming 7 for - 24400 INR (Has USB 3.1! :D ) Update: Have to wait till June 25 until I can order it.
  • CPU : i7 5820K for 30000 INR (Bought for 28000 INR)
  • GPU : NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti (not 100% locked since I'm waiting for AMD release around 16th June and see what they have in their pockets) (Bought MSI GTX 980Ti Twin Frozr V gaming edition for 59000 INR)
  • DDR 4 RAM : 16GB kit from Corsair 2666 MHz for - 16400 INR
  • CPU Cooler : NZXT Kraken x60 - 8300 INR X60 and X61 weren't availablle so, ended up buying Swiftech H320 Copper Radiator for 13000 INR.
  • Cabinet: NZXT Phantom 820 - 17500 INR (Bought)
  • Monitor: Benq XL2411Z 24' gaming monitor for 23000 INR Ended up buying a better monitor XL2420Z for 1K more.
I would be buying this rig in under a month or so and I can purchase the parts online or go to Nehru Place as well if that's what's suggested in case I can save like 5K or something.


My question is, basically, is the rig okay compatibility wise? I have checked everything on my end and it does look alright I think. What do you guys think?

Any help or expert opinions are welcome. :)

Alright so i ordered some parts today.

-Booked my MSI GTX 980Ti Gaming edition card for around 60000. Paid 10000 in advance for booking.
-Bought i7 5820K CPU.
-Bought XL2420Z instead of XL2411Z monitor for a very sweet price.
-Bought NZXT Phantom 820 cabinet

Now i can't buy my DDR4 RAM unless i decide my MOBO and unfortunately the one mentioned in opening post is not available and I can't find any 25K MOBO that has USB 3.1 support. Quite disappointed from this. Can anyone help me in getting the same motherboard i mentioned or some USB 3.1 MOBO recommendations? I would be very much thankful to the person who helps me find this motherboard. Whelp! :(

That monitor is of 1080p.GPU is way overkill for that resolution.You should of bought 1440p monitor.

I know but i had my budget restrictions and since i have been gaming on 900p for like 5 years 1080p will be most welcome. My cousin plans to buy a new gaming rig as well and he plans to take this monitor when I upgrade to 1440p next year.

Also I ended up buying some different things so I will update the opening post in a bit.
 
So finally i managed to receive all my purchased products. Will assemble it when I get the time :)

  • GPU<--------------------> MSI GTX 980 Ti 6G OC edition<-------------------------->55500 INR (Got a pretty good deal imo since other online sellers are selling it around 58000-60000)
  • CPU<---------------------->Intel i7 5820K<------------------------------------------------>29755 INR

  • Monitor<----------------->BenQ XL2420Z 24' inch<----------------------------------->24965 INR
  • RAM<--------------------->DDR 4 Corsair Vengeance 2800 MHz<------------------>14644 INR (On Amazon.com you can get it around 1K cheaper in Gskill) Don't buy from India as DDR4 is twice the amount here for some absurd reason.
  • Cabinet<------------------>NZXT Phantom 820<---------------------------------------->18689 INR
  • PSU<---------------------->Antec HCP-1300<--------------------------------------------->17419 INR (Got a good deal at Primeabgb)
