there is this porn site that i visit for my porn needs that is crawling for the last 2-3 days. nothing wrong with the site. no other member of that site is facing any issues and site seems to be working fine when i use a web proxy, VPN or TOR. so Airtel is messing up with it somehow. site ping returns are just fine but speed monitor shows max 1-2kbps speed when i try to open threads on that site. so every page opens up like i am on 2002 dial-up internet connection. every other site is working great on my connection as they used to.

is anyone else facing same issues with some of the sites they visit. is it some new Airtel Blocking trick? And if someone from NCR is on airtel then can they confirm if that site is working fine for them? I can PM you the site name.
 
It looks now its the ISPs who are messing with us or indirectly pleasing the Govt. Or Govts. slent plan behind.....aka firewall in dark!!!
As suggested use open dns or vpn.
 
Checked with some ahem links, some working, some not working. Tested on Tata, Airtel. Dunno what khichadi is being cooked between the ISPs and govt, but next up could be your favorite pirate site :p

Edit : On second thoughts, rather than going after banning pron, its better if they look to ban revenge pron.

I use opera browser .
Imagebeam is blocked for some time now .
Sometimes deposit files and solidfiles too don't show up .
I change proxy server and they work .
 
Imagebam ban is the most irritating. I can still download files from blocked filehosts after trying a couple of times or in some other ways. But 90% of the images i visit are on imagebam and it gets really irritating. Who ordered them to block imagehosts and filehosts and why? we cant even get any answers. :(

Almost everywhere I see people (public, perhaps even you) want Govt intervention in everything (via regulations).

Well, you may say that the government had had a rough start, having to overturn the porn ban but they are in no mood to give up yet.

"The culture and HRD ministries will prepare independent roadmaps for the proposed culture "cleansing" exercise which will touch school curricula, art and cinema, science and technology and libraries, sources said."
So you can expect more bans, more diktats and more 'Indianising' (read Hindutvifaction) of all things culture.

Where are we going to??
Wondering whether they'll ban my undies to use Kaupinam instead.
 
Expect soon jeans and tees to be banned too. So as said earlier we are going post historic era and by next year there will be a local indo uniform as well..dhoti kurta bailgadi etc.
No cars, buses, trains etc. No phones, pcs etc.
Only 1 single job of kheti-badi.
All technology be banned and use just slates and pencils.
