Hello, Looking to replace an stock lenovo pc from 6years back. Also. Can previous case be used to house the new components?

I recently got Achilles a Zeus War Machine for 49,000 (including taxes)
GPU Nvidia Inno3d 750TI 2GB DDR5
PROCESSOR Core I5
RAM Zion Xtreme 4 GB DDR3
HDD Hitachi 1TB
PSU Antec BP 450
CHASSIS Biostar B85
DVD W DVD Writer

I already owned Dragon War X Q2 KB and Mouse combo,
and BenQ monitor 21.5 inches.
 
Is gigabyte motherboard reliable? Had to change my friends' motherboard 3 times in last one year.

And removing mouse/HDD/monitor..should I upgrade the gfx card or processor?

Depends on what board it is. My z68xp-ud5 is working great since the last 4 odd years.

Motherboards from Gigabyte can be uncertain...to be honest that goes for all motherboards....
However if you are that uncertain you can check Biostar Gaming Hi-Fi Z97Z7 or Asus B85M-GAMER LGA1150 for that matter...should fit in your budget aswell.

Can I ditch HDD and Monitor and get Gtx 970 instead? Or Should I go for amd processor?

AMD has no upgrade path for FX Series CPU's. So go with the suggested Config or Wait for AMD Zen CPU's.
Getting a GTX970 for a 19" monitor does not do justice to gaming buddy. So stick with GTX960 and you are good to go. OK.
 
Im planning to get a bigger monitor in april next year after my exams.

So should I give more importance to processor or gfx card?
 
for gaming, focus more on the gpu.
the gtx 970 is a great buy. max out the details on everything :)
the 4460 is ~3-4% faster than the 4440. go with the cheaper option.
