Xbox 360 in 2015. Still Worth it?

So the console gaming itch is back again.
I had a PS3 which I sold off as I wasnt gaming for a long time but loved while I had it.
Had played many exclusives like Last of Us and others.

Reason why I am considering the Xbox 360:
1. Cheap: For 12k getting the 4gb console. Have many pen drives for all those large games to install easy.
2. All the xbox exclusives which I have never played
3. Many games which I never got to play on the PS3 for whatever reasons.

No multiplayer or online gaming. Only single player games.
Does the 4gb console still makes sense in 2015 ?

I'm assuming it's a brand new console. The games are still priced at around 1k with newer titles going into the 2.5k region. So the real question is; are you willing to spend that much on a previous generation console for gaming?

Nope.. No use getting the 360 now.. Considering PS4 is about 300 ish in the US.. Bundles are going for 350$.. Even here in India I have seen ps4 deals at 25k range..
Also I think I read somewhere that games like black ops 3 had only multiplayer for old gen consoles.. So if this is going to be a trend then old gen is useless now..

Yes brand new. I am on a budget so cant go next generation now.
I'll be buying games online on forums or olx/quikr. No problem in buying and selling games online for less.
I thought of the PS3 as well but since I had used that for 2 years, I thought of giving the xbox a go this time.
PS3 is 3 - 4 k more than xbox so not too sure to go back to it or try the xbox.

NOPE... a BIG NOPE...
I bought a ps3 last year just to play exclusives like UC and TLOU.. (Though I had the money to buy ps4)
But everything got remastered and released for ps4... Now I think of buying a ps4 on top of ps3....
Since all the major games have started pouring down in 7th gen.. I would advice picking up a XBone or PS4 (Preferred) and as you know the Xbone is backward compatible...
Just buy one if you need one and you are getting a pristine used at less than 7k,,,

The only problem I see with this is that a lot of people have now migrated to next generation consoles. Not everyone, but a lot of them. If you plan to sell off the console later on, it would have a lesser re-sale value. Do you have any specific games you're looking for?

The next generation has a lot of remastered titles, with Sony going all out with it's previous generation games. So if you want to play those, you can have that on the new consoles too. Plus, XboxOne has introduced backwards compatibility. The title support will grow, so you might want to check that out too. Flipkart had the XboxOne selling to as low as 24k at one point through it's app. My advice is to not go for the 360 now.

Pick a next generation console, get the retail copies, play them and sell it off. You even have rental facilities which you can avail from online sites like Alvoff.

Bargain where for under 20 k ?

Guess I'll wait for next gen now. Thanks @Ethan_Hunt for this.
XBox One at 28 k and PS4 around 30k on the app right now. Will wait and see how much prices drop.
Next question would obviously be Xbox One or PS4 :wideyed:

You can't go much wrong with either of the console because most of the games are common. Then it boils down to exclusives. Just check the list of upcoming exclusives for either one and decide for yourself.
One another thing is get the console which most of your friends have. Mostly this is said in context to multiplayer gaming, but this can be applicable for SP players as well since it's easier to exchange games in that case.
