Fraudulent ACT

Good uptime and upload speed are really important for me. BTW I saw cherrinet from that thread and my area is listed on that too.

Act has started counting the uploads also... And it's the same with act also. You have to either wait till the end of the month or buy a Booster pack.

I did get a message from them around September of last year. And it happened once again! I was out the whole day today, switched off the router and when I came back and checked, another 2GB seems to have gone. I'm mailing them once again. [emoji35]

"Dear customer,

Recently, in the last 3 months, we have been receiving complaints from some of our customers who are using Apple devices that they have been experiencing higher data usage.

This application may help in providing accurate information about the data usage of your respective device. Based on the results from said application, you may also
please consider escalating this issue to Apple.

We are always committed to bring you fastest speeds with highest download limit

Thank you and looking forward to serve you better.

ACT Fibernet"

I think most of those who are using ACT should have received the above mail from ACT. Higher Data useage only in Apple devices is a joke. What about other devices? Atleast they have started acknowledging that something is wrong and I don't thik definitely it is the Apple device as they have claimed, probably trying to buy time to fix the issue.

Guys. Seems like I fixed my problem.

I called them last month about two different mac ids active in my account. Turns out, that mac ID is around 20kms from my place. I scolded them how can that happen when I don't share my username and password. They said they might have messed up and assured me that won't happen this month.

Requested the data logs for this month and they're showing 70GB usage, where as my own software is saying 55GB. I guess I just have to live with it. 15GB difference is far more palatable than 150GB difference.

Mac id based Usage option back for Hyderabad users.

Btw, my FUP limit has usually been 75GB (I'm on the 40Mbps upto 75GB, 512Kbps beyond). But now, in the web portal, it displays as 90GB FUP limit. Is this temporary? And I haven't received any email regarding this...

Yes, Same for me too. They usually do this by suddenly increasing the FUP limit. It is kind of promotion they run. BTW they have mentioned this in their website. Check the banner on their website.
