As a seller/owner, anyone would like to get maximum for his/her used products (nothing wrong in that).
However, market price are not set by his/her whims and fancies.
Agreed. It is dependant on a multitude of factors, such as current market price, remaining life of product, market conditions (such as availability and want) and condition, just to name a few.
I can spend even 4k for this but that will not be the "right" RPi2.
I have considered few points as a neutral person while deciding that 1.5k is the right price (in fact generous price) for a used price.
1. RPi 2 was sold at 1.5k on forums in December'2015 even when RPi3 was not launched at the same price of RPi2, i.e., US$35. So, now price should be few hundred less than 1.5k.

2. Many (more than many in fact) TE members bought it at Rs.249/- + optional 1 or 2 days shipping charges. (check Post No.430 onward).

I myself bought one for 249. Does that mean that i should sell it for less than that? NO. it means that its my choice to sell it at whatever price i choose. Only the buyer has a choice to buy at that price, or not. Mind you, the purchase price has absolutely NO relation to selling price. Refer to my point above.
3. Few members bought it Rs.1738/- (my friend also bought one).

So, I have already have offered a couple of hundreds more than what should be the right price for a used RPi2. It is OK for the owners/sellers to keep on thinking that it is worth 3k or 4k.
I do not think its worth 3-4k for sure. But yes, i dont think that 2.5k for a pi2, with case and sd card is unreasonable.
